The 2024 Kia EV6 heads into its third year with few feature changes but grows with a new entry-level trim with a smaller battery pack and rear-wheel drive that lowers the base price significantly. Also, the high-power GT trim’s range is now rated for another 12 miles than before for a total of 218.

The Kia EV6 is available in four trim levels with base prices ranging from $43,925 to $62,925.
2024 Kia EV6 Engine Options
The Kia EV6 is offered in four different configurations. The new least-expensive offering comes with a reduced kWh battery pack and the weakest power rating. Other trims with rear-wheel drive utilize a more capable battery and motor. The available all-wheel-drive system utilizes a front axle motor for even more power while all trims incorporate an 800-volt system with Fast Charging capability and can recharge from 10%-80% in as little as 18 minutes.

2024 Kia EV6 Fuel Economy
The high-performance GT measures the least efficient with an 83 MPGe score versus the 117 MPGe of the most efficient. The government says to expect to pay an annual “fuel” of just $800 to $600, respectively.

The EV6 is reasonably capable with a towing rating of 2,300 pounds.
2024 Kia EV6 Dimensions & Cargo Capacity
The Kia EV6 rides on a 114.2-inch wheelbase and stretches to 184 inches in length. Inside, it seats five, and rear passengers are provided with 39 inches of legroom and 39 inches of headroom. The hatchback cargo area measures 24.4 cubic feet and can grow to 50.2 cubic feet with the seats folded.
2024 Kia EV6 Safety
All Kia EV6 models feature automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with full-speed capability with lane centering, blind-spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit warning, rear parking sensors, driver attention warning, and high beam assist.
The GT-Line adds a more advanced highway drive assist system, avoidance steering assist, blind-spot monitor (a display in the gauge cluster), remote park assist, and a surround-view monitor as standard equipment. Those features are also offered on the Wind trim through the Technology Package.
The 2023 Kia EV6 earns IIHS’ 2022 Top Safety Pick+ award with top scores for its headlight performance and crash avoidance technology.
2024 Kia EV6 Technology
All trims incorporate a 12.3-inch touchscreen that connects with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM and provides a Wi-Fi hotspot and Kia’s remote connectivity services. Five USB charge ports and a wireless charging pad are included and the Wind trim gains vehicle-to-load capability and a premium Meridian sound system with 14 speakers. The GT-Line features an augmented reality heads-up display.

2024 Kia EV6 Light - MSRP From $43,925
Build & Price >The new Light trim includes notable features such as 19-inch gray wheels, LED headlights, tail lights, signature daytime running lights, gloss-black window trim and grille, rain-sensing wipers, power-folding heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, tinted windows, and proximity entry. Inside, the recycled fabrics and vegan leather seats are eight-way power adjustable and heated and the driver gains memory positioning.
The cabin provides dual zone-climate control, LED interior lighting, and second-row cup holders. All-wheel drive models gain a heated steering wheel and a heat pump for more efficient cabin comfort and those with the larger battery pack gain acoustic front glass. The EV6 Light Long Range starts at $47,275 and the all-wheel drive model uses the larger battery pack and begins at $51,175.

Build & Price >The Wind trim wears 19-inch wheels, and gloss-black wheel arch moldings, and includes a power tailgate, an illuminated charging power port, and synthetic leather seating with ventilation. The all-wheel drive model adds heated rear seats and is priced at $53,925.

Build & Price >The GT-Line wears 20-inch wheels (on the all-wheel-drive trim), unique front and rear styling, body-color wheel arches and lower cladding, a sunroof, auto-extending flush-mounted handles (the lesser trims are not motorized), metal door sill scuffs, suede and synthetic leather seats, a sport steering wheel, alloy sport pedals, a black headliner, and ambient lighting. The all-wheel-drive GT-Line starts at $58,925.

Build & Price >The GT brings significant updates to deliver a sports result. A revised front suspension design, an additional performance drive mode, a unique all-wheel drive system with a Drift Mode, 21-inch wheels with performance tires, sport seat with suede inserts, a green drive mode button on the steering wheel, and neon highlights throughout the interior.
The EV6 Light with the smaller battery pack and less power sounds like a good value although we would put our money towards all-wheel drive (and more power) while the Wind brings several practical features and additional style that make its modest price bump seem worth it.
