2024 MINI Convertible Preview Model Preview & Release Date

Model Preview
The MINI Convertible remains a carryover model for the 2024 model year. MINI convertibles come in three guises the Cooper, the Cooper S, and the John Cooper Works. Base Cooper Convertibles come in a single trim – Signature. Cooper S and JCW models come in both Signature and Iconic trim. No MINI Convertible is available in base Classic trim.
Manual transmission is back for the 2024 MINI Convertible, but we expect minimal changes otherwise.
Outside, the 2024 MINI convertible is a MINI through and through with classic styling, round headlights, and a slim grille and air intake in the front. The rear is also classic MINI with signature union jack taillights and a rounded bumper.
We'll email you as soon as the 2024 MINI Convertible becomes available.
Under the hood, the current MINI convertible comes with three engine choices and we don't expect that to change for 2024. The base Cooper carries a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine producing 134 horsepower. The Cooper S steps you up in a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder which routes 189 hp to the front wheels. The sporty John Cooper Works gives you the same 2.0L turbo-four but produces 228 hp.
Inside the 2024 MINI Convertible, you'll find the same retro-inspired design that is featured on the 2023 model. It features an all-digital gauge cluster and an 8.8" touchscreen. Apple CarPlay, navigation, wireless charging, and a head-up display are optional.
For those looking for a little more flair with their 2024 MINI Convertible, the Cooper S now come in Seaside Edition. This special edition MINI convertible is available with unique styling, color, and design for the 30th-anniversary edition.
Pricing & Release Date
We expect the 2024 MINI Convertible to be available at dealerships before the end of the year. Pricing ranges from a starting MSRP of $35,700 for the MINI Cooper Convertible and runs through $ 48,500 for the JCW in Iconic trim.
The MINI Convertible competes against the BMW Z4, Audi A5, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but there isn't a lot of competition for upscale convertibles on the market these days.
