2024 Toyota bZ4X Preview Preview, Pricing, Release Date

Model Preview
Since the Toyota bZ4X arrived as an all-new model for the 2023 model year, we expect the all-electric SUV to be a carryover model for 2024. Under the new federal Tax Credit guidelines the bZ4X may qualify for a $7,500 tax credit, but there are currently no Toyota vehicles listed on the IRS website that qualify for the credit.
As a carryover model, the 2024 Toyota bZ4X is expected to have the same design as the current SUV that’s on sale. The front end of the bZ4X has a smooth look with a tiny grille that sits in between the slim headlights, black body panels around the fenders, and high hood lines on either side. At the back, the bZ4X has R-shaped taillights that are connected by a thin horizontal bar with a black trim piece that almost connects to the rear fenders.
On the inside, the current bZ4X has an airy design with a unique dashboard. The digital instrument cluster sits high on top of the dashboard, just below the windshield in a V-shaped crevice. The center console has an asymmetrical design with a portion that flows around the passenger side.
We'll email you as soon as the 2024 Toyota bZ4X becomes available.
The SUV has two rows of touch capacitive buttons underneath the touchscreen and a row of physical buttons below. With a dial shifter, the bZ4X has a large storage compartment underneath the center console. The 2024 Toyota bZ4X should have the same interior design.
The base bZ4X comes standard with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six audio speakers, satellite radio, a wireless charging pad, four USB-C ports, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Available features include a nine-speaker JBL audio system and a Digital key. These features will be available on the 2023 bZ4X.
Toyota currently offers the bZ4X with two powertrains. The standard powertrain consists of a single electric motor on the front axle and a 63.4-kWh battery pack. This model comes with front-wheel drive and is rated at 201 horsepower. A dual-motor bZ4X with two electric motors and all-wheel drive is available. This model has 214 hp and a 65.5-kWh battery. The bZ4X can travel between 222 miles with AWD and up to 252 miles with FWD. We don’t expect to see any changes to the bZ4X’s powertrains for 2024.
The 2024 bZ4X will come with the same safety features as the current SUV on sale. The bZ4X comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 which includes pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist are also standard. A surround-view parking camera is available.
