2024 Toyota Corolla Cross

Model Preview

Having been released in 2022 as an all-new model, the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross is expected to be a carryover model without any major changes. The subcompact SUV remains one of the newer options in the class. Here’s what we expect to see for the upcoming model year.

Toyota isn’t expected to make any changes to the Corolla Cross’ design for 2024. The subcompact SUV will continue to feature a conservative design with some familial cues with the automaker’s other SUVs. The front end has elongated headlights, an oval grille, and a blunt front bumper that connects with the grille. Rugged body cladding is located on the side of the SUV. The back of the SUV has rounded edges and triangular taillights that wrap around the side of the body.

On the inside, the current Corolla Cross has a similar design to the Corolla. The SUV’s infotainment system is positioned on top of the dash and has physical controls located on the sides of the screen. Controls for the HVAC screen are positioned directly below. Other touches include triangular air vents and a trim piece that runs nearly the full width of the dash. The Corolla Cross offers passengers with a tall seating position that provides a clear view out of the front of the SUV. The interior design of the 2024 Corolla Cross should go unchanged for the new model year.

Toyota Corolla Cross

The Corolla Cross starts off with an eight-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, six audio speakers, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and satellite radio. These features should continue to be standard for 2024. Available features include a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, a JBL audio system, and two extra USB ports.

Every Toyota Corolla Cross model comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission. The motor is rated at 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is available. This powertrain should be standard on the 2024 Corolla Cross.

Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0 driver-assist system is standard on the Corolla Cross and should continue to be offered on the 2024 model. Standard safety features on the SUV include pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam assist. Available features include blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking.

Pricing & Release Date

We’re not sure when the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross will go on sale. Based on previous model years, we could see the subcompact SUV arrive this fall. Pricing should remain close to the current model that ranges from $24,395 to $28,500 (including destination).

The Corolla Cross competes in the hotly contested subcompact SUV class. Competitors include the Subaru Crosstrek, Honda HR-V, Nissan Kicks, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Kona, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Mazda CX-30.
