Model Preview

The 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ will continue as the brand's all-electric offering in the luxury crossover market. No significant updates are expected, although last-minute changes in range and pricing are common in the EV space.

The current LYRIQ offers up to 314 miles of range, along with a plush interior for five and the full array of available Cadillac comfort and tech features. Pricing has been very competitive for a midsize luxury crossover that never needs to stop for gas. These attributes will almost certainly carry over to the 2025 LYRIQ.

The LYRIQ starts with a rear-wheel drive, single front motor layout. The motor produces 340 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque — and can propel the LYRIQ up to 314 miles on a full charge. Buyers can upgrade to an all-wheel drive setup with dual motors mounted at the front and rear. The dual-motor system generates an impressive 500 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, though range drops only slightly to 307 miles. According to EPA estimates, the LYRIQ delivers 88 MPGe in combined city and highway driving.

Like most EVs, the LYRIQ uses a single-speed transmission. Towing capacity will likely remain at 3,500 pounds. The LYRIQ can accommodate up to 28 cubic feet of cargo behind the rear seat and 60.3 cubic feet with it folded. That's not as much as a comparably sized gas crossover, but typical for a luxury EV this size.

The LYRIQ's cockpit features a 33-inch screen that houses all instrumentation and infotainment controls. Other standard features expected to carry over include heated power front seats, driver memory settings, heated wipers, and a fixed glass roof with a power sunshade. The outside wear an illuminated grille, animated approach lighting, and 20-inch wheels.

It's likely Cadillac will offer the 2025 LYRIQ in three trims levels: Tech, Luxury, and Sport. The Luxury adds features like a ventilated driver seat with massage, adaptive headlights, and a heated steering wheel. The Sport picks up dark chrome exterior trim and other unique finishes. Option packages for the Luxury and Sport will likely include items such as a hands-free power liftgate, a ventilated passenger seat, heated rear seats, tri-zone climate control, a 19-speaker AKG sound system, and 22-inch wheels.

We expect standard driver assistance features to include lane-keeping assist, blind spot monitoring with steering assist, rear parking sensors, and automatic emergency braking. The Luxury and Sport will likely offer adaptive cruise control, surround-view cameras, automated parking — and Cadillac's SuperCruise hands-free highway driving system.

Pricing & Release Date

Based on the current production schedule, we expect the 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ to arrive at dealers in early 2024.

Pricing will likely start around $60,000 including destination for the single-motor model. With the dual motor AWD setup, the LYRIQ will be priced from about $63,000 and top out at $75,000.

The LYRIC competes with electric luxury crossovers such as the Genesis Electrified GV70, Tesla Model X, and Jaguar I-Pace.
