What To Expect

The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer will head into the new year with minimal change. According to numerous reports, 2025 will be the final year for the current Blazer, which was last updated in 2023. The related in-name-only Blazer EV will continue as a separate model.

The Blazer is a two-row, midsize SUV with seating for five. Buyers get a spacious rear seat and up to 64.2 cubic feet of cargo space. Standard amenities include a 10.2-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, a power driver seat, and a remote start. All but the base 2LT trim carry leather seats and a power liftgate.

2025 Chevrolet Blazer Engine & Specs

The Blazer's powertrains will likely continue for its final year in the lineup. Most trims start with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine good for 228 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. The available 3.6-liter V6 puts out 308 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The V6 is standard on the sporty RS and optional on the mid-level 3LT and line-topping Premier. Both engines can be paired with all-wheel drive in place of the standard front-drive layout. Every Blazer uses a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Four-cylinder models are rated to tow up to 1,500 pounds. The V6 increases its pulling capacity to 4,500 pounds.

The Blazer is most efficient with the four-cylinder and front-wheel drive. EPA ratings work out to 22 miles per gallon city, 29 mpg highway, and 25 combined. Adding AWD reduces the combined rating by 1 mpg.

Models equipped with the V6 earn 19/27/22 mpg (city/highway/combined), or 21 mpg combined with AWD.

2025 Chevrolet Blazer Safety

The Blazer currently offers a range of safety and driver-assistance features. Standard equipment includes lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, a following distance indicator, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot monitoring is optional on the base trim and standard everywhere else.

An optional bundle for most trims adds adaptive cruise control, radar-enhanced automatic braking, a rear camera washer, a rearview camera mirror, and surround-view cameras.

The Blazer earns a "Good" score in all IIHS crash tests and receives a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

2025 Chevrolet Blazer Price

We expect pricing will reflect the customary annual increase. Base prices for the 2024 Blazer range from $36,795 to $44,195 including destination.

The Blazer will compete with other two-row, midsize SUVs like the Honda Passport, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Jeep Grand Cherokee.

2025 Chevrolet Blazer Release Date
