Ford is expected to introduce a fully redesigned Ranger for the 2024 model year, though the automaker hasn’t confirmed anything yet and we haven’t seen official photos of the truck yet. Since we’re still waiting to get official information on the 2024 Ranger, we don’t know a lot about the 2025 model. Here’s what we expect to see from the 2025 Ford Ranger.

Like the 2024 Ranger, the 2025 model should have a design that’s shared with the global Ranger that Ford sells in other markets. The pickup should feature C-shaped daytime running lights, a chunky front fascia that leads directly into the square grille, and a boxy overall design. We could see Ford incorporate similar design elements that are found on the current F-150 and Maverick. A high-performance Raptor version of the truck is expected to be available, featuring a prominent lift kit, widened fenders, and off-road-oriented tires.

The interior design of the 2025 Ranger is expected to go unchanged compared to the 2024 model. That truck should have a far more modern interior design than the current Ranger that’s on sale. We expect the 2025 truck to have a vertically oriented screen with a few physical controls on the bottom of the center column. Vertically oriented air vents will also be on hand to help the screen look taller. The 2024 Ranger is expected to grow in size compared to the current model, which should translate to more interior space for the 2025 model year, too.

At the time of writing, all we know about the next-gen Ranger is that the global model is available with 10.1- and 12-inch touchscreens. The displays are running Ford’s SYNC 4 infotainment system, which includes things like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, navigation, and satellite radio. These features should be available on the 2025 Ranger.

New reports indicate that Ford could be introducing an all-electric Ranger or electrified models in 2025. While the standard Ranger is expected to stick with a turbo-four, the 2025 is rumored to be offered with hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines. The truck could use a detuned version of the Explorer PHEV’s powertrain or engines from the Escape lineup, but we expect the 2025 Ranger to be available with a few electrified engines.

We’re not sure what Ford has in store for the 2025 Ranger when it comes to safety. We could see the automaker offer an updated version of its Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of safety features.
