What To Expect

The Mazda CX-30, Mazda’s smallest SUV, arrived for its first generation in 2020. With the subcompact SUV still feeling fresh in the segment, we expect the 2025 Mazda CX-30 to be a carryover model without any changes.

As a carryover model, the exterior design of the 2025 Mazda CX-30 isn’t expected to change compared to the current SUV that’s on sale. The CX-30 shares a lot of similar qualities with Mazda’s larger SUVs that give it a premium look. At the front, the CX-30 features thin headlights with chrome trim, an oval grille, and a slim air intake. The rear end of the CX-30 has a small rear spoiler, triangular taillights, and dual exhaust outlets. Rugged body cladding on the bottom of the CX-30 brings a robust touch to the SUV.

The interior design of the current Mazda CX-30 matches its elegant exterior lines. The SUV features a sweeping dashboard design that rises as it reaches the instrument cluster, a slim steering wheel, and premium materials.

Unlike other automakers, Mazda continues to stick with physical controls and a traditional gear shifter, which give the CX-30 a user-friendly edge over rivals. The CX-30 is available with high-end touches like leather upholstery and a power liftgate, which aren’t available on the majority of other subcompact SUVs. The 2025 Mazda CX-30’s interior design should remain the same as the current model that’s on sale.

On the tech front, the 2025 Mazda CX-30 should continue to come with an 8.8-inch display, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice recognition, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, eight audio speakers, and two USB-C ports.

While the CX-30 comes with an impressive display, it only has partial touch functionality and that’s only when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The main way to control the infotainment system is through a small rotary knob and physical controls behind the gear shifter.

2025 Mazda CX-30 Engine & Specs

The current Mazda CX-30 is one of the more powerful subcompact SUVs in the segment. We expect the current CX-30’s powertrains to go unchanged for the 2025 model year. The base engine for the 2025 Mazda CX-30 is expected to be a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 191 horsepower.

The SUV is available with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes up to 250 hp when running on premium fuel. A six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard.

2025 Mazda CX-30 Safety

Standard safety features on the 2025 Mazda CX-30 should include pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, a driver-attention monitor, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Traffic sign recognition, a surround-view camera, reverse automatic emergency braking, and parking sensors should be optional.

2025 Mazda CX-30 Price

Mazda hasn’t confirmed how much the 2025 Mazda CX-30 will cost. Without any expected changes, we believe the new CX-30 will continue to be priced similarly to the current model which ranges from $26,370 to $38,175.

Competitors in the subcompact segment include the Subaru Crosstrek, Volkswagen Taos, Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos, Honda HR-V, and Chevrolet Trailblazer.

2025 Mazda CX-30 Release Date

The Mazda CX-30 tends to arrive in the fall, so the 2025 Mazda CX-30 has an estimated arrival date of fall 2024. More information on the subcompact SUV should become available within the next few months.
