What To Expect

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS-Class will arrive with notable updates to its all-electric range. A larger battery and revised regenerative braking system result in a longer range. The front wears a new three-bar grille and a smoother bumper for a stronger brand identity. The interior receives additional chrome accents and expanded rear seat adjustments.

Available as a hatchback sedan or SUV, the EQS-Class features a 56-inch glass dash panel that houses full instrumentation, a 17.7-inch center touchscreen, and a 12.3-passenger touchscreen with video streaming capability. The sedan seats five in full-size comfort and can handle up to 63.0 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seat folded. The SUV can accommodate up to seven with its available third row and up to 74.2 cubic feet of cargo room.

2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS-Class Engine & Specs

The EQS-Class adopts a 118 kWh battery pack for 2025, up from 108.4 kWh last year. The base EQS 450+ model carries a single, rear-mounted electric motor that produces 335 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. The EQS 450 carries a dual-motor, all-wheel setup with the same hp but 590 lb-ft of torque. Moving up to EQS 580 brings 536 hp and 633 lb-ft. The ultra-luxurious EQS 680 Maybach achieves 649 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the larger battery and updates to the regenerative braking software will increase the range by 11%. That means the 450+ will have a range of about 390 miles, while the 450 and 580 will offer around 380 miles. We expect the 680 Maybach's range to each 300 miles.

2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS-Class Safety

The EQS will once again come loaded with standard driver-assistance features. Carryover technology includes evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control with lane-centering, intersection assist, blind-spot monitoring, automated parking, lane-change assist, surround-view cameras, and front and rear automatic emergency braking. Buyers can add a head-up display incorporating augmented reality.

2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS-Class Price

We expect 2025 EQS-Class pricing to reflect the customary annual increase at each trim level. The EQS-Class's MSRP currently starts at $105,550 including destination and stretches to $181,050 for the 680 Mayback.

The EQS-Class will compete against luxury EVs like the Lucid Air, Tesla Model S, BMW i7, and Audi e-tron GT.
