Ram might be late to enter the all-electric pickup truck scene, but it’s certainly arriving with a bang. Ram revealed the 1500 REV in its entirety at the New York Auto Show and shared some more information on what we can expect to see from the electric pickup truck.

The 2025 Ram 1500 REV will have a similarly upscale design to the gas-powered Ram 1500. The front end of the 1500 REV will feature a chunky front-end design with a prominent front bumper, split daytime running lights, and “RAM” prominently displayed in the middle of the grille. Despite its electric powertrain, the 1500 REV sports massive bulges on the hood that are reminiscent of a hood bump for a V8 engine. At the back, the electric truck has C-shaped taillights, “RAM” placed in the middle of the tailgate, and storage compartments that are built into the side of the body. Adjustable air suspension will allow the driver to increase the truck’s ride height based on road conditions and off-road terrain.

The interior design of the Ram 1500 REV will follow the gas-powered Ram 1500’s lead with a high-tech and high-end design. At the moment, Ram has only showcased the 1500 REV’s range-topping Tungsten model, so we don’t know what lower trims will look like. The Tungsten will have a high-tech design with an enormous central touchscreen that spans the full height of the dashboard, an available screen in front of the passenger, and a large digital instrument cluster. The upscale version of the truck features high-end materials and thanks to the way the electric powertrain was packaged, there’s an abundant amount of space in both rows. Ram claims that the 1500 REV’s front trunk offers up to 15 cubic feet of cargo space.

RAM 1500 REV

The Ram 1500 REV is expected to be a tech powerhouse. The electric truck will be available with a 14.5-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch passenger screen. The truck will come with Ram’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system and be available with a Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system. We expect Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, Bluetooth, and a wireless charging pad to be available.

When the 1500 REV goes on sale, it will be available with two different battery packs. Every truck comes with two electric motors for all-wheel drive. The base truck will come with a 168-kWh battery pack and have up to 654 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque. A larger 229-kWh battery pack will be available, though Ram hasn’t provided specifics yet. The smaller battery pack is targeting up to 350 miles, while the larger battery pack is expected to have 500 miles of range. The truck is expected to have a towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds and a payload capacity of up to 2,700 pounds. The 1500 REV will be able to get to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

Ram hasn’t confirmed all of the 1500 REV’s safety features yet. The truck will come with a hands-free driving system, adaptive cruise control, and automated park assist. We expect features like lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert to be available.

Pricing & Release Date

We don’t know when the 2025 Ram 1500 REV will go on sale, but we expect production to begin before the end of 2024 and the truck to arrive at the beginning of 2025. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but we think it will start at roughly $60,000.

Other electric trucks include the Ford F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV Pickup, Chevrolet Silverado EV, and Rivian R1T.
