2025 Rivian R1T Preview Specs, Price, Release Date
What To Expect
With the 2025 Rivian R1T expected to arrive for its fourth model year on sale, the all-electric pickup truck should be a carryover model without any major changes. Here’s what we know about the upcoming 2025 R1T.
As a carryover model, the 2025 Rivian R1T should continue to have the same exterior design as the truck that’s on sale. The all-electric R1T has a rugged and model design with boxy lines, rugged body cladding, and chunky bumpers. The truck’s front end has a rounded design with vertically oriented oval headlights and a horizontal light bar that spans the full width of the fascia. The rear end of the R1T has a simple design with a large “RIVIAN” badge and a horizontal lightbar.
The interior design of the 2025 Rivian R1T isn’t expected to change for the new model year. The electric pickup truck features a modern design with minimal physical controls, a tiered dashboard, and large screens. Rivian fits the R1T with premium materials, while the truck’s boxy design and large size result in two rows of spacious seats. The R1T has eco-friendly materials that include open-pore wood trim and vegan leather upholstery.
We'll email you as soon as the 2025 Rivian R1T becomes available.
On the tech front, the 2025 Rivian R1T is expected to come with the same features as the current pickup that’s on sale. The R1T currently comes with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 16-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, a 19-speaker Meridian audio system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a wireless charging pad, navigation, and six USB ports.
2025 Rivian R1T Engine & Specs
The 2025 Rivian R1T should be available with the same powertrains as the pickup truck that’s on sale. The base R1T has dual electric motors that are rated at 533 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque. The Performance Dual-Motor AWD configuration is rated at up to 665 hp and 829 lb-ft of torque. The range-topping R1T comes with quad electric motors that make up to 835 hp and 908 lb-ft of torque.
When properly equipped, the R1T can get to 60 mph in as little as 3.0 seconds and can tow up to 11,000 pounds.
Rivian offers the R1T with three different battery packs. The Standard pack has up to 270 miles of range, the Large pack has 325 miles of range, and the Max pack brings 410 miles of range.
2025 Rivian R1T Safety
Standard safety features on the current Rivian R1T include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, parking sensors, a surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam assist, and an advanced driver-assist system that handles a lot of driving tasks on the highway. The 2025 Rivian R1T should come with the same list of safety features.
2025 Rivian R1T Price
Rivian has not announced pricing for the 2025 R1T yet. Pricing for the current pickup truck ranges from $74,800 to $95,800. We expect the 2025 model to remain close to the current truck that's on sale.
2025 Rivian R1T Release Date
We don’t know when the 2025 Rivian R1T will go on sale. Rivian doesn’t follow traditional model years like other automakers, but we could see the electric truck as early as this fall. More information on the R1T should become available within the next few months.
