Model Preview

The Toyota Corolla Hybrid is rumored to be fully redesigned for the 2025 model year, though the redesign could happen for the 2026. We don’t have a lot of information on the upcoming Corolla Hybrid, but here’s what we could see from the electrified compact car.

A full redesign could see the 2025 Toyota Corolla Hybrid arrive with a new exterior design. Toyota could use newer vehicles like the Prius and Crown as inspiration for the upcoming Corolla Hybrid. We could see the Corolla Hybrid get sharper headlights, a slim grille, and a wide front air intake. The Corolla Hybrid is also expected to drop its sharp design for a rounder shape. The back of the electrified Corolla could move to have a slim horizontal light.

We don’t know what to expect from the 2025 Toyota Corolla Hybrid’s interior design. The compact car could move to have a more upscale interior design that drops the current Corolla Hybrid’s simple look. We could see the 2025 Toyota Corolla Hybrid move to have a redesigned dashboard with an instrument cluster and a touchscreen that are integrated in a single panel. The controls for the HVAC and infotainment systems are expected to move to the bottom of the center console, while the gear shifter could be updated. Based on the redesign, the Corolla Hybrid could have more interior room than the current model.

Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Toyota is expected to give the 2025 Corolla Hybrid an overhaul. The current model comes with an eight-inch touchscreen, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six audio speakers, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, and four USB ports. Available features include a wireless charging pad and a JBL audio system.

The current Corolla Hybrid comes with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors that produce a combined 138 horsepower. The engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Toyota could update the powertrain for 2025 to make more power and improve fuel economy. We expect front-wheel and all-wheel drive to continue to be offered.

Toyota currently offers the Corolla Hybrid with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available. We could see Toyota update the Corolla Hybrid’s list of safety features for 2025 with more advanced tech.

Pricing & Release Date

We don’t know any information about the 2025 Toyota Corolla Hybrid’s release date or price. We could see the electrified compact car arrive at dealerships as early as fall of 2024. Pricing for the current Corolla Hybrid ranges from $24,395 to $28,145. A fully redesigned model would cost more.

The Toyota Corolla Hybrid competes against the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid, Toyota Prius, and Kia Niro Hybrid.
