2027 Chevrolet Tahoe Preview Redesign Info & Release Date
What To Expect
The 2027 Chevrolet Tahoe is expected to get a redesign. Its last facelift was in 2024. The last time the Tahoe was redesigned was in 2021, and the big three-row SUV is looking a little dated. Chevy is revamping not only the Tahoe but also its Suburban sibling. According to Automotive News speculation, we may see these vehicles arrive as EVs, or at least see EV variants added to the lineup.
With a full redesign, we expect the Tahoe to get a fresh look both inside and out. On the outside, we expect to see the large SUV come in with a sharper, boxier look. We expect new front fascia, grille, and headlights, as well as new taillights and rear-end touches, especially if it arrives as an electric vehicle.
Inside the redesigned Tahoe we should see a few updates and touches, but since the interior was heavily refreshed in 2024, we're not sure what changes are in store. We are expecting the Tahoe to come with all the latest technology including USB-C ports, Bose audio speakers, HD Satellite radio, Bluetooth, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

We expect the large SUV to come with no less than a 12-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, though a large one-piece screen that incorporates both isn't out of the question. We may even see the introduction of a passenger screen as standard.
2027 Chevrolet Tahoe Engine & Specs
With a redesign, we expect to see new engines in the 2027 Tahoe. The most recent updates to the engine brought three engine choices ranging from a 3.0L six-cylinder turbodiesel to a 6.2L V8. The mid-choice engine was a 5.3L V8. We expect to see a few changes in the powertrain and hope the big SUV gets some mild hybrid technology to make it more efficient on gas. The current Tahoe only gets 24 mpg with the 3.0L engine and drops to 16 mpg in the 6.2L V8.
If the large SUV arrives as an EV or introduces an EV variant, we expect it to share the same platform as the Chevrolet Silverado EV that debuted in 2024. If the vehicle rides on an all-new platform technology, we expect it to be shared with its fellow Chevy and GMC siblings, the Suburban, Yulon, and Yukon XL.
As a large three-row EV, we'd expect the 2027 Tahoe to get north of 400 miles of range per charge, but nothing is confirmed at this point.
2027 Chevrolet Tahoe Safety
When it comes to safety, we would expect to see all the latest safety features as standard, rather than a large options list on the safety front. Base Tahoe models typically come with minimal safety features which include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warnings, pedestrian detection, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warnings, and lane-keeping assist. By the 2027 model, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts should be standard as well. We don't know if this list is definitive, and will have more details on the inside of the SUV closer to its release.
2027 Chevrolet Tahoe Price
Since the 2027 Tahoe is getting a total redesign we expect it to be more expensive than the current model on sale. We expect the Tahoe to start with an MSRP of around $60,000. Current Tahoe pricing ranges from $56,095 to $76,795
The Chevrolet Tahoe competes against other large three-row SUVs such as its sibling Chevy Suburban, the Cadillac Escalade, the Ford Expedition, the GMC Yukon, and the Toyota Sequoia.
2027 Chevrolet Tahoe Release Date
Based on previous release schedules, the all-new Tahoe should arrive at dealerships in late fall 2026, but Chevrolet hasn't confirmed this.
