2016 Audi Q5 hybrid

Aside from minor equipment tweaks, the Q5 Hybrid is unchanged.

Under the hood is a turbocharged 2-liter four-cylinder and electric motor that together produce 245 horsepower. That setup achieves 26 mpg in combined city and highway driving, which may not sound too impressive for a hybrid, but it's substantially better than either of the Q5's available gasoline engines. Also keep in mind that the Q5 Hybrid goes from zero to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds, well above average for a hybrid crossover with all-wheel drive. All things considered, you get an excellent balance of performance and efficiency. Like other Q5 models, the Hybrid carries an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Q5 Hybrid comes only in top-shelf Prestige trim, which means it's near the top of its class in terms of technology and appointments. Every example is outfitted with a web-based navigation system with integrated apps, a color trip computer, blind spot monitoring, adaptive headlamps, a heated and cooled cup holder, and a premium Bang & Olufsen surround-sound system. This is, of course, in addition to all the expected luxury features like heated leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and power-folding mirrors.

There are a number ways to tailor the Q5 Hybrid's five-passenger interior to suit your taste. The Luxury package offers an extended Milano leather interior and ventilated front seats with additional adjustments. There's a Sport Interior package with front sport seats, a black cloth headliner, and a sport steering wheels with shift paddles. Or you can go with the Audi Exclusive Line package, which adds specially stitched leather upholstery and piano black interior trim.
