The Audi RS 3 underwent a full redesign in 2022. While the visual updates were more evolutionary, the RS 3 went through more significant changes under the skin. These updates included a fully revised interior with new technology, an even more potent 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, and more. With its redesign still fresh, the 2024 Audi RS 3 will receive only mild updates and remain mostly a carryover.
On the outside, the 2024 Audi RS 3 will roll on with no changes. With Audi being very careful and predictable with its visual updates, this lack of changes comes as no surprise.
The 2024 RS 3's interior will mostly follow the lead of its exterior, remaining mostly unchanged from the previous model year. Unlike the exterior, though, the RS 3's cabin gets a few notable updates, starting with a new Carbon atlas matte inlay. It will also swap out the green accent stitching and accents in the RS design package for red stitching and accents. It will also get a new rearview-mirror-integrated Homelink system as a part of the Convenience package.
Under its hood, the 2024 Audi RS 3 will remain unchanged, continuing with the same 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This potent four-cylinder engine will pump 401 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque through a seven-speed S tronic transmission and out to all four wheels via Audi's legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive system. This setup launches the RS 3 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and up to a top speed of 180 mph.
The IIHS has not tested the RS 3 for safety, but it has tested its less-powerful sibling, the A3. The 2023 Audi A3 was an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ -- the institute's highest honor -- thanks to "Good" crash test ratings across the board, "Superior"-rated vehicle-to-vehicle front-crash prevention, and "Advanced" rated vehicle-to-pedestrian front-collision avoidance. The IIHS has since updated its side crash tests, and many models have seen this drag down their ratings. Stay tuned for official IIHS ratings on the 2024 A3.
