Shoppers considering the award-winning Chevrolet Camaro will soon get an expanded range to choose from. Apart from track-focused 1LE and range-topping ZL1 variants, a new 50th Anniversary Special Edition model will celebrate the model's 1967 debut.

While official pricing for the 1LE and ZL1 is still a mystery, order guides have given us our first look at how much the 50th Anniversary Camaro will cost for 2017. Here's what you need to know.

Unique styling

GM will offer the 50th Anniversary Package on 2LT and 2SS versions of the 2017 Camaro. The car will be offered in Nightfall Gray Metallic with body-color front splitter, special "Fifty" badging and unique stripe motif.

The car will run on distinctive 20-inch machined-face wheels with orange front brake calipers. On the 2LT, the car will come with all-season run-flats and Brembo 4-piston brakes, not to mention everything that normally comes with the RS Package.

The cabin gets Jet Black/Dark Gray leather seats with sueded accents and orange contrast stitching. GM is giving the interior special 50th Anniversary treatments to the steering wheel, seatbacks and illuminated door sills.

Prices increasing

Ordering guides show the 2017 Camaro will receive a $605 price increase across its entire range. At the low end, the 1LT coupe will start at $27,300 with destination with the standard 4-cyl turbo and $28,795 with the optional V6. The car comes with a 6-spd manual, but an 8-spd automatic adds $1,495.

On paper, the 50th Anniversary Edition Package is priced at $2,595 on the 2LT and $1,795 on the 2SS. However, the real cost on the 2LT is a bit higher since it requires the $2,800 Convenience and Lighting option which adds a color information center, head-up display, park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind zone/lane change alert, wireless charging and more.

Altogether, the 50th Anniversary Package will add at least $5,395 to the base price of a Camaro 2LT, for an MSRP starting at $36,795 with the turbo and $38,290 with the V6. Adding the package to the Camaro 2SS coupe will bring pricing to $44,695.
