The 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport gets some more equipment for the new model year. The subcompact SUV is wearing a new design for 2020, too. As one would expect, the changes result in a more expensive vehicle. Pricing for the 2020 Rogue Sport starts at $24,335 including destination. That represents an increase of $900 from last year.

For 2020, the Rogue Sport gets a redesigned look with a new hood, V-motion grille, bumper, and headlights that include LED daytime running lights. New 19-inch wheels and two new exterior colors – Nitro Lime Metallic and Monarch Orange Metallic – are also part of the changes.

Feature-wise, Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite is now standard on all trim levels. Previously, it was only offered on the SV and SL trims. The bundle includes blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking. Nissan’s ProPilot assist system is now available on the SL trim and standard on the SV trim.

The addition of Safety Shield 360 is primarily what’s driven pricing up, as it’s a comprehensive list of safety features. According to our records, the increase in pricing makes the 2020 Rogue Sport more expensive than the compact Rogue from 2015, revealing just how expensive vehicles are becoming.

The change in pricing makes the Rogue Sport more expensive than a lot of its rivals. The Toyota CH-R starts at $22,415, the Mazda CX-3 costs $21,435, the Hyundai Kona is priced at $21,195, and the Honda HR-V carries a price tag of $21,915.
