2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe off-road

Shoppers looking to purchase a 2024 Jeep Wrangler will be happy to know that the rugged off-roader will be getting some large changes for the new model year. The SUV now comes with a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, an updated grille, more standard airbags, and new trim levels. While most of the Wrangler’s trim levels have increased in pricing for 2024, the 4xe is actually getting a price cut.

Last year, the Wrangler 4xe lineup included the Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, and High Altitude. Pricing started at $56,530 (with destination) for the Willys 4xe. For 2024, the 4xe lineup gains a new base Sport S trim and a new range-topping Rubicon X trim. At the lower end of the spectrum, the new Sport S starts at $51,790, making the 2024 Wrangler 4xe $4,740 cheaper than last year. Comparing Willys 4xe trims to one another reveals that pricing hasn’t gone up for 2024.

2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe side profile

On the power front, the new Sport S 4xe trim will share the same electrified powertrain as other 4xe trims. The powertrain consists of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s paired with two electric motors. Output is rated at 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive are standard. The Wrangler 4xe will be able to travel up to 21 miles on electricity.

Compared to the Willys 4xe, the Sport S 4xe loses some off-roading features. The Willys 4xe comes with 33-inch all-terrain tires, rock rails, a locking rear differential, an Offroad + mode, as well as LED headlights and fog lights. The trailer tow package is also included with the Willys 4xe and the trim has 10.8 inches of ground clearance. For its starting price, the Sport S 4xe does come with a good amount of features. Adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, keyless entry, automatic headlights, power heated exterior mirrors, power windows, 17-inch wheels, and 32-inch tires are standard.

2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe charge port

We can see the new Sport S 4xe trim being incredibly popular with shoppers. It does cost a substantial $10,600 over the gas-powered Sport S trim, but the added versatility and punch of the electrified powertrain could be worth the higher price tag for some. Additionally, the new Sport S 4xe trim represents a smaller jump up from the gas-powered Wrangler than the Willys 4xe. Shoppers looking to go from a Willys to a Willys 4xe are looking at spending $11,340.

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe can be ordered now with SUVs set to arrive at dealerships in the third quarter of 2023.
