In-car deliveries are now a thing for Honda owners of certain vehicles. Starting this week, Honda has started to offer Key by Amazon In-Car Delivery service for six models with the brand’s HondaLink Remote Services connected-car system. Consumers with a compatible vehicle and an Amazon Prime membership can now get their packages delivered to their car’s trunk.

Honda models and trims that are eligible for the service are listed below.

Model Trim Model Years
Accord Touring 2018-2019
Accord Hybrid Touring 2018-2019
Insight Touring 2019-2020
Odyssey Touring and Elite 2018-2019
Passport Touring and Elite 2019
Pilot Touring and Elite 2019

There are a few requirements before owners can receive Amazon packages in their vehicle. In addition to having the right car, owners have to have the HondaLink Remote package, which is an additional $110 a year after a complimentary three-month trial. HondaLink Remote also includes some other handy features, like remote start, remote lock and unlock, stolen vehicle locator, and geofence alert. If having a personal concierge handle a lot of the features in the Remote package sounds good, Honda also has a Concierge package for $260 a year.

Then, there’s the issue of location. Key by Amazon is supported in 50 cities and surrounding areas. Major cities include Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Cleveland, OH; Detroit, MI; Washington, DC; San Diego, CA; and Jacksonville, FL. The complete list is available on Amazon’s site.

If you meet all of the requirements, then using Key by Amazon couldn’t be easier. Consumers shop on Amazon, select in-car delivery at check-out, ensure their vehicle is parked with two blocks of a selected delivery address, and that’s it. The Amazon app provides Honda owners with a notification of when the package is arriving.

With Honda introducing in-car Amazon deliveries on its vehicles, it’s only a matter of time until Acura follows suit with the same feature. According to Roadshow, the 2019 Acura RDX will be the first vehicle from the brand to come with Key by Amazon. Other brands, like Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Volvo, Ford, and Lincoln offer in-car Amazon deliveries through Key by Amazon on certain vehicles.
