The 2022 Toyota Supra A91-CF Edition will start at $64,275, according to data from a recent order guide. That will make this the most expensive GR Supra to date and almost $8,500 more expensive compared to the previous year.

When the A91 Carbon Fiber Edition was revealed last month, Toyota stated it would build just 600 cars limited to North America. Alcantara seats, 19" matte-black wheels, and a carbon-fiber body kit set the car apart from other Supras.

At $64,275 including a $995 destination charge, the CF Edition's price will be $8,485 more than the current A91 Edition. While the coupe's 3-liter turbo still produces 382 hp, the CF Edition's unique look will clearly command a hefty premium.

Having said that, a fully-loaded 2022 Supra will approach $68,000 with options. For example, the $1,195 Driver Assist Package adds features like adaptive cruise control, while carbon-fiber mirror caps ($925) and a premium color called Phantom ($1,495) all cost extra.

At that point, the most expensive Supra will cost roughly 55% more than the cheapest model you can buy today (the 2-liter coupe, MSRP $44,085). And that's assuming you can avoid a dealer markup considering the CF Edition's extremely limited availability.

Just for reference, a Jaguar F-TYPE starts at $62,750 but has one of the largest discounts on a car with up to a $10,000 cash incentive. That said, Toyota's reputation for reliability could make the CF Edition an appealing choice for sports car enthusiasts looking for something different.

Update (7/12/21): A Toyota spokesperson confirmed our pricing information is correct, attributing the increased cost of the A91 CF Edition to the car's use of "genuine, exposed-weave carbon fiber" and the fact that "every piece is hand made."
