2024 Mazda Mazda3

Most of the time, automakers increase prices for vehicles when they arrive for a new model year. This, surprisingly, isn’t the case for the new 2025 Mazda3. Bucking the industry trend, pricing for the 2025 Mazda3 sedan has actually gone down for the new year. The 2025 Mazda3 S trim now starts at $25,135, which represents a decrease of $220 from last year. It’s not an enormous decrease in pricing, but any drop is nice to see these days.

Pricing for the 2025 Mazda3 hatchback decreases by a more meaningful margin, as Mazda has introduced a new base S trim that costs $26,135. This represents a decrease of $740 compared to last year’s base trim for the hatchback body style, which was the S Select Sport that started at $26,875.

While the base 2025 Mazda3 sedan and hatchback get price cuts compared to the 2024 model year, other trims in the lineup are going up. For the sedan, the range-topping S Carbon Edition AWD trim gets the largest price increase of $350. It now starts at $30,595. For the hatchback body style, the S Preferred trim gets a $390 price increase that pushes its price tag up to $28,875. The priciest Mazda3 hatchback now costs $38,135 thanks to a $300 price hike.

Mazda has given the 2025 Mazda3 a few new features. The compact car receives Amazon Alexa integration on Select Sport trims and higher and Mazda Online Navigation enhances the car‘s navigation system for 2.5 S Premium trims.

The Mazda3 sedan’s price cut for 2025 makes it more competitive in the class, but it’s still one of the pricier options available. It costs more than the Toyota Corolla sedan ($23,145), Honda Civic sedan ($25,045), Volkswagen Jetta ($22,660), Hyundai Elantra ($22,775), and Nissan Sentra ($22,320).

The Mazda3 hatchback also costs more than its immediate competitors. The Toyota Corolla hatchback costs $25,025 and the Honda Civic is priced at $26,045.

Shoppers may be looking at spending more money on the Mazda3 sedan and hatchback compared to other options in the compact class, but they stand out for having premium interiors, refined driving dynamics, and available all-wheel drive.
