Lexus Monogram GX

From fridges and champagne holders to headliners that are meant to mimic the night sky with thousands of small lights, modern-day luxury cars go above and beyond for wealthy buyers. The new 2024 Lexus Monogram GX, though, goes one step beyond by having a fully functional pizza oven in the cargo area. And that’s just one of the SUV’s over-the-top features.

The Lexus Monogram GX is a one-off that was created in partnership between Lexus and luxury appliance brand Monogram, which explains all of the cool food-related gizmos the SUV has. The most outlandish feature in the high-end SUV is a Monogram 30-inch Smart Flush Hearth Oven that “captures the performance of a wood-fired brick oven” to allow people to make pizza, artisanal bread, or roasted fish. Sure, it occupies nearly the entirety of the cargo area, but think about having a pizza baking away while you’re driving or being the life of the party at a tailgating event.

Of course, the Monogram GX isn’t just a fancy oven with wheels. The special SUV also has a Monogram Forge Heated Ice Press, which is the first and only heated ice press in the country, that’s used to create “ice gems” that are slow melting and won’t dilute the flavor of the drink you want to chill. Having never heard of Monogram’s products before, this writer usually sticks with appliances that are readily available at Costco, this feature sounds like a high-end ice maker.

The fancy SUV also comes with an exterior storage compartment for wine and bourbon, multiple chilling compartments, a plating station, and a bar with a complete kit that includes a cutting board, bitters, and glassware. It’s easy to hold your nose up to this list and say that no one needs any of these things in a vehicle, but the way they’re integrated into the SUV is incredible. The external storage compartments to hold your preferred alcoholic beverages and glasses, for instance, are built into the rear windows that are located between the C- and D-pillars and flip up for access. And the full bar is located in the dual swing-out tailgates.

On top of coming with a few high-end appliances from Monogram and some special touches, the Lexus GX Monogram has special two-tone leather upholstery with a custom pattern, brass and titanium metal, Dekton slate stone accents, special wheels, and unique exterior trim.

The special Lexus Monogram GX will make its official debut at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen Colorado between June 14 and 16.
