A redesigned exterior and refreshed interior means the 2018 Infiniti QX80 also sees a slight price increase over the outgoing model. The 2018 QX80 starts at $65,745 (prices include the $995 destination charge), an increase of $900 over the 2017 model.
That new starting price is for the two-wheel-drive model; moving up to all-wheel drive runs another $3,100. A 5.6-liter V8 engine powers both models, which sends power to the wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission.
New for 2018 on the full-size SUV is a redesigned front and rear fascia. Up front, there's a new hood, grille, and LED fog lamps. At the rear, there's a restyled fascia and hatch for the 2018 model year. The new QX80 also comes with new exterior colors: Moonstone White, Mineral Black, and Champagne Quartz.
Inside, Infiniti updated the shift knob, wrapped the upper instrument panel with contrast stitching, and redesigned the steering wheel. The rear entertainment system screens grow from seven inches to eight inches, increasing in resolution as well. Infiniti also updated its InTouch 8.0-inch infotainment system.
Standard interior trim is leather, though semi-aniline leather with color-contrast piping is optional. Optional interior trims include Saddle Brown leather with black contrast stitching and piping. Wheat or Graphite upholstery is optional in either leather or semi-aniline leather.
Trim finishes include Stratford Burl gloss wood trim as standard. Graphite leather comes with a dark brown Espresso Burl trim while Charcoal Burl trim is available with Wheat or Saddle Brown upholstery.
The 2018 Infiniti QX80 goes on sale in late 2017.
