2021 Prius Prime is here:
The carryover 2021 Prius Prime is in stock, though extremely hard to find at dealerships, and it has some attractive cash offers. Be prepared to do some serious searching to find one that suits your needs.
The Toyota Prius Prime not only has a slew of government rebates and credits, but it also has enhanced cash incentives and a new lease offer this month.
Toyota's offers are regional and expire on March 1, 2021. All deals mentioned here assume a Southern California location unless otherwise noted. We may see some new promotional offers around Presidents' Day, so stay tuned for updates.
Lease from $249/mo.:
The 2021 Prius Prime's lease offer is a 36-month deal on the LE trim that runs $249 per month with $999 due at signing. With an effective monthly cost of $277, this is a stellar value relative to its MSRP. Part of why this lease is so incredible is the $1,000 bonus cash dramatically reducing the amount due at signing.
Finance from 0%:
The 2021 Prius Prime has 0% APR for 60 months and 1.9% APR for 72 months. Buyers cannot combine this low APR offer with the cash rebates.
Cash rebate boosted:
The 2021 Prius Prime has a $3,000 cash rebate and a $1,000 bonus cash rebate for financing or leasing through Toyota Financial Services. There is also the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) on the Toyota Prius Prime, which is worth up to $1,000, and qualified buyers can get the $900 California Clean Fuel Reward (CCFR). The CVRP is a rebate you get after you purchase, but the CCFR is a point-of-sale rebate you get immediately.
On top of all this is the $4,502 federal tax credit for buying the 2021 Prius Prime.
If you combine all the cash incentives, rebates, and credits, you'll save up to $10,492 on the 2021 Prius Prime.
The cash incentives aren't stackable with the low APR financing.
Members of the military may be eligible for a $500 discount for taking out a loan through Toyota Financial. Unfortunately, Toyota's college grad rebate excludes the Prius Prime.

According to Toyota, recharging takes up to 5.5 hours on a standard household outlet, and two hours and 10 minutes on a 240-volt (Level 2) charger.
The EPA rates fuel economy at 54 miles per gallon combined, or 133 MPGe combined (miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent) The Prius Prime's top-notch efficiency and electric-only capability give it a total driving range of 640 miles.

Stepping up to the XLE brings an 11.6-inch touchscreen, navigation, HD radio, and wireless phone charging. The Limited additionally gets a head-up display and a 10-speaker JBL audio system.
The LE carries a healthy bundle of equipment, including automatic climate control, power-folding side mirrors, full LED exterior lighting, proximity key access (driver door only), push button start, a 120-volt charging cable, and a cargo area cover. The interior offers cloth seats and leatherette trim. The LE rolls on 15-inch alloy wheels.
The Prius Prime XLE adds leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, an eight-way power driver seat, proximity key access for three doors, and a charging cable lock.
The Limited builds on the the XLE with automatic wipers, a heated steering wheel, LED fog lights, LED exterior accent lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal home remote, and remote air conditioning activation.
Compare Prius Prime Trims Side-By-Side
The 2021 Toyota Prius Prime XLE is priced close enough to the entry-level LE for us to recommend it without reservation. The Limited offers some nice conveniences, but it could supply a little more luxury for the price.
