2023 Audi Q5 is here; 2022s are gone
Of all Audi vehicles, the Q5 tends to be the easiest to find in stock. 2022s have sold out, but 2023s are arriving at dealerships.
The current offers listed below are available nationally and end on May 31, 2023, lease examples listed are for California. This page is updated monthly with the latest incentives, so be sure to check back for the most current information.
Audi Q5 Lease Deals
Lease from $499 per month for 36 months
Lease rates are back down to $499 per month for 36 months with $5,393 due at signing for a 10,000-mile-per-year allowance on the 2023 Q5 40 TFSI Premium (after spending a month up slightly at $509 per month for 36 months with $5,403 due at signing). The effective monthly cost is $649, compared to $659 last month, both of which are high for a vehicle with this MSRP.
These offers have been better, however, than the last offers on the 2022 Q5, which most recently started at $549 per month for 36 months with $5,443 due at signing (an effective monthly cost of $700), and before that, $499 per month for 36 months with $5,993 due at signing (an effective monthly cost of $665).

What's New
The 2023 Audi Q5 arrives without any noteworthy changes for the new model year. A few features have shuffled around and there’s a new paint scheme, but beyond these minor changes, the 2023 Q5 is the same as the previous year.
Choosing Your Audi Q5
Audi offers the Q5 in a dizzying number of variations. There are two body styles: SUV and Sportback. Then, the Q5 lineup is divided by powertrains with the standard Q5, sporty SQ5, and electrified Q5 plug-in hybrid. In total, there are 16 different versions to choose from.
The regular Q5 is available in Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trims that range from $44,595 (with destination) to $55,595. The Q5 Sportback is available in the same trims but has a sportier design and ranges from $51,395 to $60,395. The plug-in hybrid Q5 55 TFSI is also available in the same three trims but comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Pricing for the PHEV ranges from $56,595 to $66,495. The sporty SQ5 costs between $56,895 to $66,795 with the SQ5 Sportback ranging from $60,295 to $69,195.
Engine Choices
There are a total of four different engines to choose from in the Q5 lineup. The Q5 has two different engines, the SQ5 is available with one engine, and the plug-in hybrid Q5 55 TFSI e has its own powertrain. All-wheel drive is standard throughout the lineup. The Q5 comes with a seven-speed automatic transmission, while the SQ5 utilizes an eight-speed automatic transmission.
We recommend upgrading over the base 40 TFSI powertrain to the 45 TFSI, which is an extra $2,500 on the regular Q5. The Q5 Sportback comes standard with the 45 TFSI powertrain. The 40 TFSI can feel underpowered on the highway and doesn’t have better fuel economy figures, either.
With a substantial upgrade in power, one would expect the SQ5 to be far less efficient than the regular Q5, but that’s not the case. The SQ5 also has a reasonable amount of power and isn’t some track-oriented vehicle, making it a realistic upgrade.
For consumers that want the flexibility of an electrified powertrain, the Q5 PHEV can travel up to 23 miles of range on electricity.
Engine Type | Horsepower | Torque | Fuel Economy (Combined) |
Turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder | 201 hp | 236 lb-ft | 25 mpg |
Turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder | 261 hp | 273 lb-ft | 25 mpg |
Turbo 2.0-liter PHEV | 362 hp | 369 lb-ft | 61 MPGe/26 mpg |
Turbo 3.0-liter V6 | 349 hp | 369 lb-ft | 21 mpg |
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
All Q5 models offer seating for up to five. The SUV body style offers up to 25.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and a total of 54 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. The Sportback model has 24.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 51.9 cubic feet of total cargo space.
Safety Features
The Q5 comes with a suite of advanced safety features as standard. The SUV comes with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high-beam assist, and adaptive cruise control.
The Premium Plus trim adds traffic jam assist, a surround-view parking camera, and lane-keeping assist. The Prestige trim comes with traffic sign recognition.
Connectivity
Audi offers the Q5 with a standard 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hot spot, 10 audio speakers, two USB ports, and Bluetooth.
Moving up to the Premium Plus trim adds Audi’s Virtual Cockpit system with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a signal booster, and a Bang & Olufsen audio system. The Prestige adds navigation, a head-up display, and a wireless charging pad.
2023 Audi Q5 Premium – MSRP From $44,595
Pricing for the Q5 starts at $44,595, the Q5 PHEV costs $56,595, and the Q5 Sportback is priced at $51,395. Both come similarly equipped, though the Sportback comes with the more powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as standard.
The Premium trim comes well-equipped with LED exterior lights, aluminum roof rails, 18-inch wheels, and heated exterior mirrors. On the inside, the trim comes with tri-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and wood trim.
The Convenience Package costs $1,100 and brings a memory system for the driver’s seat and exterior mirrors, a heated steering wheel, auto-dimming and power-folding exterior mirrors, and advanced keyless entry. A panoramic sunroof is $1,450.
2023 Audi Q5 Premium Plus – MSRP From $50,095
The Q5 Premium Plus costs $50,095, the Q5 PHEV is priced at $61,195, and the Q5 Sportback Premium Plus starts at $55,295.
Standard features over the base trim include advanced keyless entry, power-folding and auto-dimming exterior mirrors, 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a power-adjustable tilt-and-telescoping steering column.
The Warm Weather Package is priced at $1,450 and brings front sport seats, power-adjustable lumbar support, and ventilated front seats. Navigation is available for $1,500.
2023 Audi Q5 Prestige – MSRP From $55,595
The Q5 Prestige costs $55,595, the Q5 PHEV costs $66,495, and the Sportback version is priced at $60,395.
Compared to lower trims, the Prestige comes with Matrix LED headlights, LED taillights with unique animation, dual-pane acoustic glass, heated and cooled front cup holders, heated rear seats, and ventilated front seats.
2023 Audi SQ5 Premium – MSRP From $56,895
Pricing for the SQ5 Premium starts at $56,895 with the SQ5 Sportback Premium being priced at $60,295.
The SQ5 comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, 20-inch wheels, summer tires, a roof spoiler, adaptive suspension, stainless steel pedals, and carbon fiber trim. The Convenience Package ($1,100) and a panoramic sunroof ($1,450) are optional.
2023 Audi SQ5 Premium Plus – MSRP From $61,595
The SQ5 Premium Plus trim costs $61,595 and the Sportback version is priced at $63,995.
The Premium Plus trim brings the same standard features as the Q5 Premium Plus. The Warm Weather Package costs $600 and navigation is priced at $1,500. The S Sport Package brings red brake calipers, Sport adaptive air suspension, and a Sport rear differential for $3,000. Dynamic Steering costs $1,150.
2023 Audi SQ5 Prestige – MSRP From $66,795
The SQ5 Prestige costs $66,795, while the SQ5 Sportback Prestige is priced at $69,195.
The Prestige shares a lot of the same features as the Q5 Prestige. It’s available with the same optional packages as the SQ5 Premium Plus.
With so many different trims, body styles, and powertrains to explore, getting into a 2023 Audi Q5 can be confusing. As far as trims, we recommend the Premium Plus, as it comes with a good mix of safety and high-tech features. For most people, the 261-hp four-cylinder engine has more than enough grunt for daily use, while the PHEV engine is too expensive to recommend. With extra cargo space, we think the regular SUV body style will be the more popular option with the Sportback’s polarizing design and smaller cargo area being a trade-off that will only appeal to a few shoppers.
