  • 2019 Bolt EV stocked to meet demand

  • Lease from $339 for 39 months
  • Get 0% APR for 72 months + $2,500 bonus

The gas-free Chevy:

The carryover 2019 Bolt EV remains in adequate supply throughout the country. Pricing and equipment are unchanged this year.

Bolt pricing tends to favor California, Oregon, and the Northeast. The car delivers 238 miles of electric range, making it a top contender in the electric vehicle market.

Interestingly, prices for Chevy's Volt plug-in are up by as much as $550 for 2019. The difference between top-trim Premiere versions of the Bolt and Volt is now less than $3,000.

Production of the 2020 Bolt is under way. There's no official release date yet.

Current offers are available on a national basis and will expire October 31, 2019 unless otherwise noted.

Huge new savings:

Chevy now offers a $6,500 rebate to all buyers, plus discounted GM Supplier Pricing. That works out to a total savings of $7,920 on the line-topping Premiere, for example.

In addition, most dealers are offering in-house discounts this month of around $2,500. Add it all up, and you can potentially save $10,420 on a new Bolt.

Leasing looks great:

Like last month, the 2019 Bolt LT starts at $339 for 39 months (12,000 miles a year) with $2,769 due at signing.

The effective monthly cost works out to $410, an excellent value for this price class.

Current GM lessees can do even better. The available $500 loyalty bonus reduces the cash at signing to $2,269.

No interest + plus cash:

Instead of the standard rebate, you can get 0% financing for 72 months. The offer comes with $2,500 bonus cash, which makes for a tempting purchase deal.

128 City / 110 Highway

The EV segment is on the cusp of an influx of new products and even new sub-segments. When it arrived on the scene as a 2017 model, the Chevrolet Bolt EV faced unclear consumer preferences and thus was designed to satisfy both urban and suburban lifestyles with a compact size and long single-charge range. With relative success so far, the automaker has a continued commitment to the 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV.

What's New for 2019

The 2019 Chevy Bolt EV sees expanded availability of active safety features and paint colors, including one called Shock that's so bright it ought to qualify for a safe driver insurance discount.

Choosing Your Chevrolet Bolt EV

The Chevrolet Bolt EV’s compact size and immediate power delivery make it an ideal city vehicle. On the flip side, its liquid cooled 60-kWh lithium-ion battery enables an EPA-estimated 238 miles of range on a single charge. It does so rather efficiently too with an EPA miles-per-gallon equivalent (MPGe) rating of 119, which is greater than its key competitors. The Bolt EV carries an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty for the battery and electrical components.

Chevrolet says the drive unit’s 200 horsepower (150 kW) and 266 pound-feet (360 N-m) of motoring torque is enough power to get up to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. Front-wheel drive is standard while a single-speed transmission features a Low mode that adjusts the power regeneration settings. Kinetic energy can also be captured more aggressively with a Regen on Demand steering wheel paddle. Single-pedal driving is possible in either setting and promotes more efficient driving.

The Bolt EV is available in two trims:

The LT trim starts at $37,495 and includes a 10.2-inch touchscreen with the latest connectivity and available audio sources like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, and a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Proximity entry, push-button start, 17-inch wheels, HID headlights, and LED daytime running lights and brake lights are also standard. The cloth front seats feature six-way manual adjustment and an eight-inch display screen takes the place of traditional gauges.

Notable available features include the Comfort and Convenience Package for $555, which brings heated front seats and a heated steering wheel that's now wrapped in leather. With this package selected, the Driver Confidence Package I then becomes available for $495 and includes additional safety equipment such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Moving up the ladder to the Driver Confidence Package II requires another $495 and features active safety tech like forward collision warning, low speed automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a following distance indicator, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning.

A DC Fast Charger is a notable standalone option for $750. It enables the Bolt EV to be able to use publicly available DC Fast Charging stations. It replenishes the battery at a rate of up to 90 miles every 30 minutes.

The Premier trim begins at $41,780 and includes the features from the LT trim’s Comfort and Convenience Package as well as the Driver Confidence I Package as standard. The list of exclusive standard features include leather seating surfaces with heated rear outboard seats, roof rails, a surround-view camera system, and specially styled 17-inch wheels.

The same Driver Confidence II Package available with the LT trim is also offered for $495, while a Premier exclusive Infotainment Package ($485) brings a Bose premium sound system, two rear USB ports, and wireless charging.

CarsDirect Tip

The 2019 Chevy Bolt EV’s small shape and long distance capability allow it to reach a wide range of household and commuting needs. Add on the Driver Confidence II Package to gain high-tech safety equipment to match the rest of the car.
