Honda CR-V Lease Deals
Lease from $299/mo.
An MSRP increase has pushed lease costs upward. The 2022 Honda CR-V has two promotional 36-month lease offers. These start from $299 ($10 increase) per month on the LX trim with $3,399 due at signing ($200 increase). The LX AWD model has the same monthly payment but requires $4,099 at signing (a $300 increase). With effective monthly costs of $378 and $395, these aren't good values relative to their MSRPs.
If you currently lease a Honda vehicle, you could get a $750 ($250 increase) rebate for leasing a new CR-V.

What's New
There are no mechanical or specification changes to the Honda CR-V for the 2022 model year, though the flagship Touring trim is now available exclusively with AWD. The SUV's prices have also crept up by just over $500 for each model, compared to last year. As before, Honda also offers a fuel-efficient hybrid version of its most popular crossover in the form of the CR-V Hybrid.
Choosing Your Honda CR-V
Every CR-V is powered by the same engine, giving buyers a choice of five trim levels and two drive modes (2WD or AWD). Prices start at $26,975 including destination for the 2WD LX, with all-wheel drive a $1,500 option. SE models start at $28,175, while EX and EX-L trims cost $29,485 and $32,075 in FWD guise respectively. AWD-only Touring models retail at $36,775.
Engine Choices
Every CR-V is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gas unit, generating 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. Power is supplied to either the front or all four wheels through a CVT automatic transmission.
In terms of fuel economy, FWD models return 28 miles per gallon city, 34 mpg highway, and 30 combined, though the greater rolling resistance of AWD drivetrains sees these figures drop to 27/32/29 MPG.
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
Cargo capacity for the five-seater CR-V stands at 39.2 cu ft with the rear seats in place, and 75.8 cu ft once they’re dropped.
There is no 3-row configuration available for the CR-V; to get that capability, shoppers will need to upgrade to the larger and more expensive Honda Pilot. While there is a midsized SUV called the Passport, it is limited to a 2-row layout.
Safety Features
Every CR-V model comes with front, side, and curtain airbags, alongside LED daytime running lights with auto high-beam, electronic brakeforce distribution with braking assistance, and stability assistance.
There’s lane-departure and forward-collision warnings, road departure and collision mitigation systems, adaptive cruise control that can follow slow-moving traffic, and a lane-keeping system. LX buyers are the only ones to miss out on a blind spot information system with cross-traffic monitoring.
Connectivity
There’s a two-tier hierarchy to connectivity on the CR-V. LX models pull the short straw with a five-inch color LCD screen and a four-speaker audio system, whereas SE buyers and above enjoy two more speakers and greater wattage via a customizable seven-inch touchscreen that also sports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. The audio system in the Touring models increases to nine speakers and 330 watts, and this is the only model with wireless phone charging and navigation.
Riding into battle on 17-inch alloy wheels, LX models feature remote cabin entry, power side mirrors, and climate control. The windows and doors are powered, there’s cruise control, rear passenger heating ducts, and six-way adjustment of the driver’s seat.
The speed-sensitive stereo outputs 160 watts, with connectivity elevated by USB and 12-volt sockets. The Honda Sensing suite of safety aids is also a welcome standard feature.
There are no packages available across the CR-V range.
Modest specification upgrades from LX models include a more powerful audio system with smartphone integration, dual-zone climate control, and heated front seats. SE buyers are the first to receive a smart entry system with walk-away auto-locking, too. There are also extra colors available, including metallic blue and red. The larger infotainment system on this model will be welcomed by most buyers.
The EX trim improves on the SE by adding automatic dual-zone climate, alongside rear privacy glass, an alarm, and LED fog lights. The driver sits in a seat offering 12-way power adjustment and four-way power lumbar, below a one-touch power moonroof, while rear passengers benefit from second-row charging ports.
External attributes include larger 18-inch alloy wheels and LED fog lights, while blind spot information and a cross-traffic monitor come as standard. The range of colors also expands to seven.
Modest upgrades on the Luxury version of EX trim include leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob; the driver’s seat gains memory while the passenger receives four-way power adjustment.
The stereo matches the 180-watt output of EX models across a total of eight speakers, while an auto-dimming rearview mirror and power tailgate with programmable height opening are welcome additions.
CR-V Touring – MSRP From $36,775
Touring models are distinguished externally by larger 19-inch wheels which apply their all-wheel drive to the road, while dual chrome exhaust finishers and roof rails increase the car’s external presence alongside full LED headlights and rain-sensing wipers.
The power tailgate offers hands-free access, and ambient lighting illuminates a cabin starring a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, and a powerful nine-speaker 330-watt audio system. Crucially for many buyers, Touring is the only CR-V with navigation.
Compare CR-V Trims Side-By-Side
As the mid-point in the CR-V range, an AWD EX is almost $6,000 cheaper than Touring without missing out on any of its sibling’s safety and connectivity features. If you can live without navigation and leather, EX represents the best blend of value and features.
