The 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid is virtually identical to last year's model. This is the third model year for the hybrid version of Honda's popular CR-V compact.
Choosing Your Honda CR-V Hybrid
The CR-V Hybrid comes in three trim levels: EX, EX-L, and Touring. Pricing starts at $32,185 including destination and tops out at $37,975 for the Touring.
Engine Choices
The CR-V Hybrid comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine and a pair of electric motors. This hybrid system produces 212 horsepower and 232 lb-ft feet of torque. All-wheel drive is standard on all trims. The CR-V Hybrid uses a single-speed automatic transmission.
The CR-V Hybrid is EPA-rated at 40 miles per gallon city, 35 mpg highway, and 38 combined. These are excellent figures for a family-style crossover with AWD.
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
Like its gas-powered counterpart, the CR-V Hybrid offers ample room for five. With the hybrid, buyers get 33.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat and 68.7 cubes with it folded. That's down from the regular CR-V, but still very respectable.
Safety Features
Every CR-V Hybrid comes prepared for the unexpected. Standard driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, a driver alertness monitor, and automatic emergency braking. The Touring also gets front and rear parking sensors.
The CR-Hybrid emits an audio alert to warn nearby pedestrians when the vehicle is approaching in electric-only mode.
Connectivity
The CR-V Hybrid's carryover infotainment setup includes a seven-inch touchscreen, eight speakers, HD and satellite radio, two front and two rear USB ports, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The Touring also gets navigation, wireless device charging, and two additional speakers.
CR-V Hybrid EX — MSRP From $32,185
The EX comes thoroughly equipped with a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a 12-way power driver seat, and remote start. The exterior gets LED fog lights, heated mirrors with turn signal indicators, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
CR-V Hybrid EX-L — MSRP From $34,775
The EX-L piles on the luxury upgrades, including leather upholstery, ambient interior lighting, a four-way power passenger seat, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. A power liftgate is also standard.
CR-V Hybrid Touring — MSRP From $37,975
Along with its infotainment upgrades and parking sensors, the Touring comes with automatic wipers, a hands-free power liftgate, roof rails, and 19-inch wheels.
