The 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid gains a mid-level Sport-L trim for its second year on the market. Except for its powertrain and equipment groupings, the CR-V Hybrid is nearly identical to the gas-powered version of Honda's popular crossover.

The CR-V Hybrid now comes in three trim levels: Sport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring. Pricing for the Hybrid starts at $34,645 and tops out at $40,795 for the Sport Touring.
Engine Choices
The CR-V Hybrid carries a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine and a pair of electric motors. This setup produces a total of 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. Power is fed to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that mimics the gear shifts of a conventional automatic. All-wheel drive is available on the Sport and Sport-L for $1,500 and standard on the Sport Touring.
Front-drive versions are EPA-rated at 43 miles per gallon city, 36 mpg highway, and 40 combined. With AWD, estimates ease to 40/34/37 mpg (city/highway/combined).
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
Like the gas-powered version, the CR-V Hybrid is a compact, two-row crossover with seating for five. Space for people and things is near the top of this class. Buyers get 39.3 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seat and 76.5 cubic feet with it folded. These figures rival many larger, less efficient crossovers.

The Sport-L picks up a 9-inch touchscreen, two more speakers, HD and satellite radio, and wireless phone integration and charging. Upgrading to the Sport Touring brings navigation and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
