2022 Insight arrives
The 2022 Honda Insight is in stock and mostly a carryover vehicle, but it drops the base LX trim. Most auto dealerships are experiencing inventory shortages, so you may have to search for the right Insight to meet your needs. The 2022 Insight gains a new lease loyalty bonus this month and other updated offers.
All offers listed here are available nationwide and expire on July 5, 2022. This page is updated monthly with the latest incentives, so be sure to check back for the latest information.
Honda Insight Lease Deals
No promotional leases
The 2022 Insight lacks any promotional lease offers, but you can lease it at full retail. According to Honda's online estimator, the 2022 Insight EX's 36-month retail lease runs $465 per month with $1,060 due at signing. With an effective monthly cost of $485, this is a terrible value relative to its MSRP.
If you currently lease a Honda, you can get a $750 incentive ($250 increase) for leasing a new Insight.
Honda Insight Rebate Deals
No cash incentives
The 2022 Insight has no cash rebates.
However, it is eligible for up to $500 off for recent college graduates and former or current military members.
Honda Insight Finance Deals
From 2.9% APR
The 2022 Insight continues with three APR offers this month, and they are all up 1 percentage point compared to last month: 2.9% for 48 months, 3.9% for 60 months, and 4.9% APR for 72 months.
These aren't great offers, but they're not bad deals relative to the competition. For reference, the Toyota Prius' 72-month financing deal runs 2.49%.
Buyers who need even more time can get 84-month financing, but it's at standard interest rates.

What's New
Honda’s long-serving Insight hybrid-electric sedan is unchanged for the 2022 model year, though the base LX trim has been dropped. That brings the range down to two models, with a single powertrain and no packages available.
Choosing Your Honda Insight
The Insight range starts with EX trim, costing $26,205 including destination. Alternatively, Touring pushes the price up to $30,235.
Engine Choices
The Insight combines an AC electric motor with a 1.5-liter 16-valve gas engine, collectively generating 151 horsepower and 197 pound-feet of torque.
This is driven through a continuously variable transmission, returning an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 55 miles per gallon city, 49 mpg highway, and 52 combined in EX models. Extra equipment and larger wheels mean Touring economy drops by 4 MPG, returning 51/45/48 respectively.
Engine Type | Horsepower | Torque | Fuel Economy (City/Highway/Combined) |
1.5 liter hybrid | 151 hp | 197 lb-ft | 55/49/52 MPG (EX) |
1.5 liter hybrid | 151 hp | 197 lb-ft | 51/45/48 MPG (Touring) |
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
Cargo capacity for the five-seater Insight stands at 15.1 cu ft in EX models, and 14.7 cu ft in Touring mode.
Safety Features
It’s pleasing to note both Insight models have identical safety rosters, so safety-conscious buyers don’t have to fork out more for features like hill start assist or blind spot monitoring.
The cabin has six airbags, while drivers benefit from a series of warning and monitoring systems. These include adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic sign recognition, lane keeping and departure warning systems, collision warning and mitigation braking.
Connectivity
Standard connectivity is impressive, with a 180-watt audio system supporting Pandora, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
An HD radio and SiriusXM are also present, controlled through an eight-inch touchscreen with physical buttons for primary controls. You’ll need to invest in Touring trim to get navigation, WiFi hotspot capability or a beefier ten-speaker stereo with a subwoofer.
With active noise cancellation and remote engine start on its spec sheet, every Insight receives automatic LED lights, heated power side mirrors and walk-away auto-locking with a remote trunk release. Climate control regulates a cabin featuring ambient console lighting, push-button start and an eight-speaker audio system.
There are no packages on Insight models.
Insight Touring – From $30,235
Touring receives a superior infotainment system, including voice-controlled navigation and a 450-watt ten-speaker audio system with subwoofer.
Dual-zone climate cools a cabin featuring a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The seats are leather-trimmed and heated in the front with power adjustment for the driver and passenger, and there’s a one-touch tilt-and-slide power moonroof.
Compare Insight Trims Side-By-Side
If your budget will stretch, the Touring’s cabin is a more luxurious place to spend time. However, the EX offers the same level of safety features and accommodation with better fuel economy for $4,000 less, making it our pick.
