2023 Wrangler in adequate supply
The carryover 2023 Wrangler is stocked to meet demand at dealers across the country. The Wrangler sells just fine on its own merits, so dealer discounting is rare. Factory rebates tend to be sporadic and relatively modest.
The info listed here is for the two-door model. For the four-door version, see our page on the Wrangler Unlimited.
Current promos run through April 3, 2023, unless otherwise noted and can vary by region. The examples listed here are for California. We update this page every month, so check back for the latest news on pricing.
Jeep Wrangler Lease Deals
Lease from $525/month
You can now lease a 2023 Wrangler Sport S from $525 for 39 months (10,000 miles a year) with $3,795 due at signing. The effective monthly cost of this lease works out to $622, which is too high for us to recommend.
Note that the four-door Wrangler Unlimited (covered in a separate entry) usually costs less to lease due to higher residual values.
Jeep Wrangler Rebate Deals
Too soon for cash offers
There is no factory rebate on the 2023 Wrangler this month, which isn't surprising.
When rebates are offered, they're usually modest and only available at the very end of the model year. Keep in mind the Wrangler has never needed substantial incentives to find willing buyers.
Jeep Wrangler Finance Deals
Rates from 7.26% APR
Jeep continues to offer 7.26% financing for 60 months throughout the 2023 Wrangler lineup. That might not seem like anything special, but it's on par with what some other brands are offering currently.

What's New
The 2023 Jeep Wrangler is largely a carry-over model but there are some key updates. For the first time, a limited-edition purple color is available along with a new gray color, there is a new wheel design for the Rubicon, air-conditioning is now standard on the two-door Sport trim, and the 4xe is now offered with the Willys Package - enabling a lower entry price point.
Choosing Your Jeep Wrangler
The 2023 Jeep Wrangler is available in four primary trims, the Sport, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon 392, however, the Sahara and Rubicon 392 trims are only offered in the four-door Wrangler Unlimited model. Base prices range from $31,890 for the two-door Sport to $81,590 for the Rubicon 392.
Engine Choices
The 2023 Wrangler comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a six-speed manual transmission. Opting for the eight-speed automatic requires an updated V6 with a mild-hybrid system for a total of $4,000 or a turbocharged four-cylinder for a net cost of $2,000.
The four-door Unlimited can also be equipped with a diesel engine for $4,000 (plus $2,500 for the required eight-speed automatic) or a 6.4-liter (392-cubic inch) V8 that is also matched solely to an eight-speed automatic. The automatic is also standard on the Sahara trim.
The 4xe features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which can be recharged in about 2 hours at a Level 2 charging station or 12 hours from the included Level 1 (120-volt) charger. Compared to the popular gasoline V6 automatic, the 4xe plug-in hybrid uses about $600 less in fuel annually per the EPA. The high price of diesel negates any cost savings from its superior efficiency over gasoline.
All Wranglers are equipped with a four-wheel-drive system. The Sport, Sahara, and Rubicon trims feature a part-time system and offer a full-time system for $795. The full-time 4WD system is standard on the Rubicon 392 and 4xe trims.

Passenger and Cargo Capacity
The two-door 2023 Jeep Wrangler measures just 167 inches in length - about seven inches shorter than the two-door Bronco and over a foot shorter than the two-door Defender. The compact Jeep offers nearly 36 inches of rear legroom and 12.9 cubic feet of storage space behind the rear seat, or 31.7 cubic inches with the seat folded which is less space than in the Bronco.
The four-door Unlimited sits about 22 inches longer overall with nearly all of that going to the wheelbase. Its 31.7 cubic feet of cargo space opens up to 72.4 cubic feet, however, that is over 10 cubes less than what the four-door Bronco offers.
The Sahara, the Rubicon 392, and the 4xe trims are only offered in the Unlimited four-door body style.
The Wrangler Unlimited carries a 3,500-pound maximum towing rating which matches the Ford yet one will need to look to the Defender for serious towing capability (7,700 pounds).
Safety Features
The Sport trim requires the Sport S package and then the $1,145 Safety Group to add blind spot detection with rear cross-traffic detection, LED tail lights, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group ($945) is then available and adds automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control (even with the manual transmission selected), and automatic high beams. The two safety packages are standard on the Rubicon 392.
The Wrangler Unlimited earns a mixed bag of Marginal and Good crashworthiness scores from IIHS and has not been fully rated by NHTSA.
Connectivity
The standard 2023 Jeep Wrangler features a seven-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, aux and USB inputs, and 12-volt outlets in the front and rear.
The Sport S Package offers the 8.4-inch Radio and Premium Audio Group that is partnered with the Technology Group (net $3,290) to bring SiriusXM, HD Radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and navigation with off-road pages, as well as a premium Alpine nine-speaker sound system. The Sahara and Rubicon are standard with the upgraded infotainment system.
2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport - MSRP From $31,890
The base 2023 Wrangler features 17-inch black steel wheels, cloth bucket seats with six-way manual adjustment for the driver, manual windows and locks, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, a 3.5-inch black and white driver information display, and an outside temperature gauge. A black three-piece hardtop is $1,695 and the Trailer Tow and Heavy-Duty Electrical Group is $995.
The Willys Sport Package ($2,310) adds more capability with a limited-slip rear differential, 32-inch off-road tires, and rock rails while 17-inch black alloy wheels, a black grille, black trim, and decals on the hood and body sides present a unique look.
The Unlimited Wrangler’s Willys Sport Package additionally offers the Xtreme 35-inch Tire Package ($3,995) that adds 17-inch bead-lock capable wheels, upgraded axles with revised gearing, high clearance fenders, and a reinforced hinge gate to handle the added weight of the spare tire.
The Sport S package ($3,200) includes bright 17-inch wheels, power heated mirrors, a premium-wrapped steering wheel, remote keyless entry, and sun visors with vanity mirrors. The Sun and Sound Package ($4,290) is offered with the Unlimited and includes a hardtop with removable rear quarter windows and a fabric retractable roof as well as the features of the audio upgrade package, which additionally includes automatic climate control, and a color driver information display with neat Jeep graphics. The LED Headlamp and Fog Lamp Group is offered for $1,295 and the Cold Weather Group is $895 and includes a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated seats.
The Freedom Package ($6,495 over the Sport) builds on the Sport S package with unique 17-inch gloss-black alloy wheels, body-color fender flares and grille, chrome grille inserts, the LED Headlamp package, a steel front bumper, rock rails, leather seats with cloth inserts, and a plethora of Freedom Edition badges and decals.
The Willys Package ($6,595 over the Sport) is also based on the Sport S package and adds LED headlights plus the Willys Sport’s features. The new Willys 4xe (starting at $55,590) uniquely includes blue exterior badging and decal highlights and the Technology Package (but not the LED headlights).
2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara - MSRP From $45,915
The Sahara trim features 18-inch wheels with all-season tires, side steps, a body-colored grille with platinum silver rings, proximity entry, and bright interior trim pieces. A leather interior (seats, dash panel, shift knob, parking brake lever) are available for $1,995 while the safety packages, the cold weather package, and the LED lighting group are available.
The Sahara 4xe ($56,190) adds the LED lighting group, 20-inch wheels, and premium leather seats and interior surfaces.
The Saraha trim serves as the basis for the High Altitude Package ($9,095) that includes 20-inch black wheels upgraded axles, a body-color hardtop, door handles, front and rear bumpers, fuel filler door, and fenders, gloss-black grille inserts, mirrors with body-color caps and integrated turn signals, LED lighting group, safety packages, a sport suspension, and a leather interior with caramel stitching and interior accents. The High Altitude Package on the Sahara 4xe is $5,575.
2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon - MSRP From $43,695
The Rubicon trim turns the Wrangler into one of the most capable off-road vehicles with upgraded axles, electronic locking front and rear differentials, an electronically disconnecting sway bar, a heavy-duty transfer case, red tow hooks, rock rails, and additional off-road driving modes. It is also distinguished visibly by its hood with air vents, 17-inch machined wheels, raised fender flares, gray and red badging and lettering, premium cloth seats, and red interior accents. Steel bumpers are available for $1,845 and the 35-inch tire package is also offered.
The 4xe Rubicon model ($59,990) trades red accents for blue with blue badges, decal lettering, and tow hooks, and unique 17-inch wheels. It is not, however, available with the 35-inch tire package.
2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 - MSRP From $81,590
The high-power Wrangler is standard with an upgraded braking system, Fox high-performance dampers, a functional air-intake hood, dual exhaust with quad outlets, body-color hardtop and fender flares, LED exterior lighting, steel bumpers, 17-inch bead-lock capable wheels, bronze exterior and interior accents, paddle shifters, leather heated sport seats with “392” embroidering, a heated steering wheel, and auxiliary switches.
Compare Wrangler Trims Side-By-Side
The Jeep Wrangler is better suited for off-roading than commuting. The Rubicon provides a solid value considering all of its heavy-duty equipment upgrades while the 4xe Rubicon adds the element of quiet off-roading which may be well worth the price increase for some.
