2022 & 2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport - Exclusive Ashburn New Car Discounts

The 2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport continues with the addition of Amazon Alexa compatibility and standard adaptive cruise control. The current Discovery Sport hit the market in 2015 and underwent a mid-cycle refresh for 2020. The larger Land Rover Discovery is covered in a separate entry.

The 2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport comes in four trims: S, SE, R-Dynamic S, and R-Dynamic SE. Pricing starts at $44,350 including destination and goes to $49,650 for the R-Dynamic SE before options.

The Discovery Sport carries a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 246 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive with terrain selection is standard, along with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

According to EPA estimates, the Discovery Sport gets 19 miles per gallon city, 24 mpg highway, and 20 combined. Towing capability reaches 4,409 pounds.

The Discovery Sport is a compact SUV with ample room for five. Capacity increases to seven with the optional third row ($1,200), although it's clearly the domain of children.

The standard cabin offers 27.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and 55.6 cubic feet with it folded. Three-row models can hold just 4.1 cubic feet with all rows in use. Capacity increases to 23.3 cubic feet when configured for five. With both rear rows down, load space expands to 51.2 cubic feet.

The Discovery Sport comes loaded with standard driver assistance technology, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, parking sensors, driver alertness monitoring, wade sensing, and traffic sign recognition.

Options for the S models include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert ($625) and adaptive headlights with automatic high beams ($1,200). These features are standard on the SE trims.

A surround-view camera is available on all models for $700.

The 2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport's standard infotainment system offers a 10-inch touchscreen, navigation, six speakers, three USB ports, HD and satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a phone signal booster, and wireless device charging.

A 12-speaker Meridian sound system ($350) is optional on the S and standard on the SE. A 14-speaker Meridian system ($800) is exclusive to the SE.

The S packs a good deal of equipment into its base price, including leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 12-way power driver and 10-way power passenger seat, a power liftgate, a universal home remote, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic wipers, LED headlights, rear fog lights, power-folding side mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

For $2,850, the Third Row Pack adds three-row seating, third-rowing cooling, and sliding and reclining second-row seats. The Cold Climate Pack ($625) provides a heated steering wheel and a heated windshield with heated washers. A black exterior trim package is available for $600.

Individual options include an adaptive suspension system ($1,250), a fixed glass roof ($1,300), heated second-row seats ($510), and wood, aluminum, or titanium interior trim ($400).

The R-Dynamic S adds sporty styling touches inside and out. The black exterior trim is standard, along with ebony leather seats with red stitching, an ebony headliner, paddle shifters, signature door sill plates, and a perforated leather steering wheel. Other standard features and options are shared with the regular S.

The SE builds on the S with 20-inch wheels and the aforementioned safety upgrades and connectivity upgrades. Other features continue as options, with the addition of the 14-speaker Meridian system.

The R-Dynamic SE combines the SE's higher levels of equipment with the R-Dynamic treatment. Dark satin grey wheels are exclusive to this trim.
