Highlights:

Are Lexus NX Models Good To Lease?
The Lexus NX tends to be an expensive vehicle to lease. While its residual values are quite high, it rarely benefits from good lease incentives.
Based on our analysis, this is typically because of relatively high lease rates and a lack of discounts. For some NX shoppers, it may be better to buy than to lease.
As of this writing, the NX Plug-In Hybrid features a $7,500 lease incentive that you can't get on either the NX Gas or the NX Hybrid.
Lexus NX Loyalty Discounts
Lexus sometimes offers loyalty discounts for NX buyers, though we find that they're typically limited to returning lessees. If you or an immediate family member is eligible, it could help save you some extra money on an NX lease.
These types of incentives can vary depending on region and usually change each month. We recommend checking with your dealer about the latest offers and to learn whether or not you qualify for a Lexus NX lease loyalty discount.
Lexus NX Plug-In Tax Credit
The Lexus NX plug-in hybrid doesn't qualify for a federal tax credit because it isn't assembled in North America. However, there may be a way to score a better price if you're willing to lease.
That's because a loophole is enabling some manufacturers to claim a commercial credit on leases. While a lease may not be for everyone, it could end up being the best way to get a deal on an NX.

What's New
Since the Lexus NX arrived as a fully redesigned vehicle in 2022, it only gets light changes for 2024. The compact is now available with a few new interior colors. Lexus has introduced a new remote parking feature for the NX350h and NX450h+ models. Lastly, the NX450h+ F Sport is now offered with a regular sunroof or a panoramic sunroof.
These changes don’t do a lot to change the NX’s placement in the segment, but the compact luxury SUV is still a solid all-rounder.
Choosing Your Lexus NX
Lexus offers the NX in six trims: NX 250, NX 350, NX 350 F Sport Handling, NX 350h Hybrid, NX 450h+, and NX 450h+ F Sport Handling. While the NX’s lineup can be confusing to comprehend, there is some method to the extensive lineup. The NX 250 and NX 350 are gas-powered SUVs, the NX 350h is a hybrid, and the NX 450h+ is a plug-in hybrid.
Pricing for the gas-powered NX 250 starts at $40,205 and goes up to $49,065. The NX 350h Hybrid costs $43,805. The NX 450h+ PHEV starts at $58,655 and goes up to $59,906.
Engine Choices
We think the turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the NX 350 is a great option for most people, seeing as how it delivers 75 more horsepower and 133 more pound-feet of torque. Plus, it comes with a standard AWD. But for drivers wanting better fuel economy, the NX 350h Hybrid’s powertrain is an appealing choice. Fuel economy runs from 25 mpg combined for the NX 350, and tops out at 36 mpg and 84 mpge for the NX 450h+.
Engine Type | Trim Level | Horsepower | Torque | Fuel Economy (Combined) |
2.5L 4-Cylinder | NX 250 | 203 hp | 184 lb-ft | 28 mpg |
2.4L Turbo 4-Cylinder | NX 350 | 275 hp | 317 lb-ft | 25 mpg |
2.5L 4-Cylinder Hybrid | NX 350h | 240 hp | Not Rated | 39 mpg |
2.5L 4-Cylinder Plug-in Hybrid | NX 450h+ | 304 hp | Not Rated | 84 MPGe, 36 mpg |
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
The NX offers seating for up to five people across two rows of seats. The compact SUV has 22.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and a total of 46.9 cubic feet of cargo space. Because of the way Lexus’ engineers packaged the NX’s electrified components, the NX 350h Hybrid, and NX 450h+ PHEV have the same cargo capacity as gas-powered models.
Safety Features
The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard on every NX trim. The suite includes features like automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, vehicle exit warning, and automatic high-beam assist.
Lane change assist, a surround-view parking camera, and a front cross-traffic alert are available for $1,070. A 10-inch head-up display is available on its own as a $1,100 option. These features are offered on the NX 250 and NX 350.
The NX 350h Hybrid is also available with park assist for $480.
Connectivity
The standard NX 250 comes with a 9.8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, an HD Radio, two USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, 10 audio speakers, and a “Hey Lexus” virtual assistant.
A larger 14-inch touchscreen is available as a $1,205 option. It also includes cloud-connected navigation. A 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system is $2,225 and requires the $3,050 Premium Package. A wireless charging pad and a digital key are available for $450.
2024 Lexus NX 250 – MSRP From $40,205
The NX 250 is one of the more well-equipped entry-level compact SUVs on the market. It comes with LED headlights, heated exterior mirrors, roof rails, and 18-inch wheels.
On the inside, the SUV comes with dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, push-button start, and keyless entry.
The major package for the NX 250 is the Premium Package which costs $3,050. It comes with ventilated front seats, black prism interior trim, a moonroof, a power liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, and memory settings for the driver’s seat, mirrors, and steering wheel.
Noteworthy standalone options include a power liftgate ($400), a moonroof ($1,100), a heated steering wheel ($250), a digital rearview mirror ($200), and rain-sensing windshield wipers ($125).
2024 Lexus NX 350h Hybrid – MSRP From $43,805
For 2024, the NX 350h Hybrid is now more affordable than the 350. It comes with a more efficient hybrid powertrain over the NX 250 but shares a lot of the same standard and optional features.
2024 Lexus NX 350 – MSRP From $43,965
The sporty NX 350 gets a major engine upgrade over the base NX 250. It features a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and standard AWD. It also gains active noise cancellation on top of the NX 250’s list of standard features.
The NX 350 is available with the $6,140 Luxury Package. It adds perforated leather upholstery, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an eight-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat, a 10-inch heads-up display, a 14-inch touchscreen, door courtesy lamps, wood trim, ambient interior lighting, heated and ventilated seats, auto-dimming mirrors, a moonroof, a power liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, bi-LED adaptive headlights, and park assist.
2024 Lexus NX 350 F Sport Handling – MSRP From $49,065
Drivers looking for an NX 350 with sportier handling should explore the F Sport Handling trim. The trim includes adaptive sport-tuned suspension, 20-inch wheels, a sporty body kit, and aluminum interior trim. It builds off of the NX 350’s features with a heads-up display and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
The available F Sport Handling Luxury Package includes a power liftgate, heated and ventilated front sport seats, ambient interior lighting, adaptive bi-LED headlights, memory settings for the driver’s seat, exterior mirrors, and steering wheel.
2024 Lexus NX 450h+ – MSRP From $58,655
Making the step up to the NX 450h+ PHEV represents a dramatic jump in pricing compared to lower models. On top of the plug-in hybrid powertrain, the trim comes with all of the features from the Luxury Package as standard.
2024 Lexus NX 450h+ F Sport Handling – MSRP From $59,906
The range-topping NX 450h+ F Sport Handling merges the punchy plug-in hybrid powertrain with the upgraded suspension and design of the F Sport Handling trim. The F Sport Handling Luxury Package is standard.
Choosing the right powertrain for the 2024 Lexus NX will be the most difficult choice. The NX 350 and NX 350h Hybrid stand out as the best two options for most people. The turbo engine delivers a good balance of performance for the price, while the hybrid engine has more power than the base NX 250 and gets impressive fuel economy. They’re both similarly priced to one another, but one delivers added performance and the other focuses on fuel economy. We like the convenience and feature content that’s included with the Luxury Package, as adding that is all you really need.
