What's New
The 2023 Lincoln Aviator is available with two new exterior black-out packages, Jet Appearance and Black Label Special Edition Luxe. The current Aviator debuted in 2020 and slots between the two-row Nautilus crossover and full-size navigator SUV in the Lincoln lineup.
Choosing Your Lincoln Aviator
The Aviator continues in five trim levels: Standard, Reserve, Grand Touring, Black Label, and Black Label Grand Touring. Pricing starts at $54,535 including destination and tops out at $90,475 for the Black Label Grand Touring.
Engine Choices
The Standard, Reserve, and Black Label trims are powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine. The Grand Touring and Grand Touring Black Label get a plug-in hybrid setup consisting of the gas V6 and a 75-kW electric motor.
All-wheel drive is standard on the hybrid-powered Grand Touring models, which can travel up to 21 miles on electricity alone. AWD is also standard on the gas Black Label. The Standard and Reserve start out with rear-wheel drive, and AWD can be added for $2,505. All models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
With the gas V6, the Aviator can tow up to 6,700 pounds. Capacity dips to 5,600 pounds on the Grand Touring trims.
Engine Type | Horsepower | Torque | Fuel Economy (Combined) |
3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 | 400 hp | 415 lb-ft | 21 mpg |
3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 Plug-In Hybrid | 494 hp | 630 lb-ft | 23 mpg |
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
The Aviator is a midsize, three-row crossover with seating for seven in Standard trim. The other trims feature second-row captain's chairs for a six-passenger capacity.
With all rows occupied, there are 18.5 cubic feet left for cargo. Folding the third row opens up 41.8 cubic feet. With both rear rows down, the Aviator can handle up to 77.7 cubic feet, which is typical for a vehicle of this size.
Safety Features
Every Aviator comes with Lincoln Co-Pilot360, which includes lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, front and rear parking sensors, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The Reserve and above also carry a surround-view camera system with front and rear washers.
Optional on the Reserve and Grand Touring is Co-Pilot360 Plus ($2,500), which adds adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, an automated parking system, and reverse automatic braking. This bundle is also available in the comprehensive Reserve I ($6,950) and Grand Touring I ($5,840) packages, along with a head-up display and other features. All of these items are standard on the Black Label trims.
Connectivity
The Standard trim offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 10 speakers, four USB ports, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Navigation can be added for $500.
Navigation is standard on the Reserve and Grand Touring, along with wireless phone charging and a 14-speaker Revel sound system with an HD radio. A 28-speaker Revel sound system is available on Reserve and Grand Touring as part of the $3,300 Luxury Package — and standard on the Black Label trims.
2023 Lincoln Aviator Standard – MSRP From $54,535
The Aviator Standard comes equipped with synthetic leather upholstery, heated 10-way power front seats with driver memory, aluminum interior trim, a power-folding third row, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, proximity keyless access, automatic wipers, and a power liftgate. The exterior receives LED headlights and taillights, aluminum roof rails, power-folding side mirrors, and 19-inch wheels.
The $1,000 Elements Package adds a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, and heated wiper blades. The Premium Package ($1,500) offers second-row captain's chairs, a panoramic sunroof, and 20-inch wheels.
2023 Lincoln Aviator Reserve – MSRP From $59,700
The Reserves gets a genuine leather interior with 12-way power front seats, four-zone climate control, wood trim, and ambient lighting. The Premium Package is standard, along with LED fog lights and a hands-free power liftgate. The Elements Package Plus ($1,450) adds automatically heated and ventilated front seats, heated and ventilated second-row seats, a cabin air purifier, and the heated steering wheel and wiper blades.
The Reserve I Package ($6,950) contains the Elements Package Plus and Co-Pilot 360 Plus, along with a head-up display and technology that allows the owner's smartphone to function as a key fob. Beyond that, buyers can add the $3,300 Luxury Package with 30-way massing front seats, the 28-speaker Revel sound system, and rear door sunshades. For the outside, Lincoln offers an Illumination Package ($2,100) with speed-sensitive adaptive front lighting and an illuminated grille emblem.
There's also a Dynamic Handling Package ($2,400) that adds an adaptive air suspension that scans the road ahead and adjusts accordingly. The new Jet Appearance Package ($2,670) adds 22-inch black wheels and black exterior trim with body-color accents.
2023 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring – MSRP From $70,385
The Grand Touring receives the hybrid power plant, standard AWD, and 21-inch wheels. Other equipment and options are shared with the Reserve.
2023 Lincoln Aviator Black Label – MSRP From $81,920
The Black Label reverts to the gas engine but keeps the standard AWD. Exclusive features include 22-inch bright wheels and the buyer's choice of interior design themes: Flight, Chalet, and Destination. Owners receive complimentary maintenance and priority service from Lincoln dealers.
The Dynamic Handling and Jet Appearance packages remain optional, but nearly everything else available on the preceding trims is standard on the Black Label. This year, buyers can spring for the Black Label Special Edition Luxe ($7,250), which adds a painted black roof, 22-inch black wheels, and black exterior design elements.
2023 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring Black Label – MSRP From $90,475
The ultimate Aviator combines the hybrid powertrain with the Black Label treatment. This is the only trim where the Dynamic Handling Package is standard.
Compare Aviator Trims Side-By-Side
The 2023 Lincoln Aviator in Standard trim offers plenty of features for the money, but genuine leather upholstery is not one of them. That means most buyers shopping in this league will want to advance to the Reserve or Grand Touring, which also provides access to the Aviator's most interesting options. The Black Label models are worth considering for their sumptuous interiors and exclusive ownership perks.
