2024 Polestar 2 Changes
Polestar has made some important updates for the 2 electric car for the 2024 model year. The EV now comes with more power throughout the lineup, while the base single-motor model has rear-wheel drive instead of front-wheel drive. Polestar has fitted the RWD single-motor 2 sedan with a larger battery pack that increases range from 270 miles to 320 miles. Thanks to increased efficiency, dual-motor Polestar 2 models have 16 more miles of range than last year.
Lastly, the 2024 Polestar 2 gest more standard safety features than before. The base model gets a suite of advanced driver-assist features as standard, while the dual-motor vehicle gains the Pilot package as part of its list of standard equipment.

The 2024 Polestar 2 is available in three trims: Long Range RWD, Long Range AWD, and Long Range AWD with Performance Pack. Pricing for the 2 ranges from $51,300 to $64,400.
2024 Polestar 2 Engine Options
Polestar offers the 2 EV with two main powertrains. The base Long Range RWD model comes with a single electric motor that makes 299 horsepower and 361 pound-feet of torque. This model can get to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds.
The Long Range AWD model adds a second electric motor for up to 421 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque. The AWD model has a zero-to-60-mph time of 4.3 seconds. Adding the $5,500 Performance pack to the Long Range AWD model brings a performance increase of up to 455 hp and drops the car’s zero-to-60-mph time to 4.1 seconds.
2024 Polestar 2 Fuel Economy
The 2024 Polestar 2 is available with two different battery packs. The standard Long Range RWD model comes with a 79-kWh battery pack that offers up to 320 miles with 19-inch wheels. The model is rated at up to 115 MPGe combined. The available 20-inch wheels drops range to 307 miles and the car’s combined fuel economy rating to 111 MPGe combined.
The Polestar 2 Long Range AWD model comes with a 75-kWh battery pack with up to 276 miles of range and a combined fuel economy rating of up to 106 MPGe with 19-inch wheels. Getting the model with the available 20-inch wheels drops range to 266 miles and fuel economy to 102 MPGe combined.
The Long Range AWD with Performance Package is rated to travel up to 247 miles and has a combined fuel economy rating of up to 95 MPGe.

The compact 2024 Polestar 2 measures 181.3 inches long, 73.2 inches wide, and 58.3 inches tall. It has 37 inches of rear headroom and 33.9 inches of rear legroom.
2024 Polestar 2 Safety
The 2024 Polestar 2 comes well-equipped with advanced safety features. The electric sedan comes with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, nighttime collision warning, run-off road mitigation, a driver attention monitor, rear cross-traffic alert and mitigation, cross traffic alert with brake support, and traffic sign recognition as standard.
The available $2,000 Pilot pack brings adaptive cruise control, Polestar’s Pilot Assist system, and speed limiter. The Pilot pack comes standard on AWD models.

Every 2024 Polestar 2 comes with an 11.2-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The EV features a Google-based infotainment system with Google Maps and a “Hey Google” virtual assistant, navigation, Bluetooth, four USB ports, an eight-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay.
The Plus pack is priced at $2,000 and adds a 13-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and Polestar’s digital key system.

It comes with 19-inch wheels, heated exterior mirrors, automatic reversing mirrors, auto-dimming mirrors, LED headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, textile upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated front seats.
The $2,000 Pilot pack includes LED front fog lights. The available Plus pack includes a panoramic roof, a tinted rear window, ambient interior lighting, an energy-saving heat pump, fully electric front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, heated wiper nozzles, an air quality system, a power liftgate, and a rear floor bag holder. The Plus pack costs $2,200.
Polestar offers 20-inch wheels for $1,300, Nappa leather upholstery and ventilated seats for $4,000 with the Plus pack, and a tow hitch for $1,300.
