Where Are Suzuki Cars Built?

Suzuki Motor Corporation is a multinational automobile manufacturing company with its headquarters in Hamamatsu, Japan. It specializes in small, compact automobiles, but also manufactures a number of other devices that use a small internal combustion engine or electric motor including motorcycles, all terrain vehicles, outboard marine engines and wheelchairs. Suzuki is a huge multinational corporation, and it has 35 main factories in 23 different countries. Different Suzuki models are made at different factories, so not every model of Suzuki is manufactured in every country with a Suzuki manufacturing plant. The following is gives a brief description of the availability of different Suzuki models in different countries based on which models are manufactured in each country.

United States

The United States is home to multiple Suzuki factories because there is a huge market for automobiles there. Because of this large market, Suzuki manufactures a wide variety of different models in the United States, including the Suzuki Kizashi, the Suzuki SX4 Sport, the Suzuki SX4 Sedan, the Suzuki SX4 Crossover, the Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Suzuki Equator. This abundance of different Suzuki models in the United States means that customers in the US will get cheaper deals on these models.


India is home to an offshoot of Suzuki Motor Corporation called Maruti Suzuki India Limited, which is Suzuki's largest and most valuable subsidiary. Maruti Suzuki India Limited both manufactures and sells almost all Suzuki models. It is also known for its production of all terrain vehicles and motorcycles, as well as its insurance branch and its driving school.
