What's New
For the 2023 model year, Chevrolet has introduced a new Redline Edition package for the Bolt EUV. The new Redline Edition package is an appearance package that changes the way the Bolt EUV looks. It’s available in three colors and brings black and red Bolt EUV badges, red exterior accents, 17-inch gloss black wheels, and black leather upholstery with red accent stitching. The Redline Edition package is available on the LT and Premium trims.
Additionally, Chevrolet has slashed the Bolt EUV’s pricing by a wide margin for 2023. The EUV is now $6,300 cheaper than last year’s model.
The Chevrolet Bolt EUV is the SUV version of the Bolt EV hatchback, which Chevy also sells.
Choosing Your Chevrolet Bolt EUV
Chevrolet offers the 2023 Bolt EUV in two trims: LT and Premier. Pricing starts at $29,190 (with destination) and goes up to $33,690.
The Bolt EUV doesn’t qualify for the federal tax credit because General Motors surpassed the 200,000-vehicle cap. Starting in 2023, the cap is removed and the EUV will be eligible for the full $7,500 amount. The Bolt EUV is eligible for state incentives.
Engine Choices
The Bolt EUV is only available with a single powertrain. Front-wheel drive is standard with the Bolt EUV, while the SUV’s 65-kWh lithium-ion battery pack results in a range of 247 miles. On the charging front, the Bolt EUV can gain 95 miles of range in 30 minutes when plugged into a DC fast charger.
Engine Type | Horsepower | Torque | EPA Equivalent Fuel Economy (City/Highway/Combined) |
Electric Motor | 200 hp | 266 lb-ft | 125/104/115 |
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
All Bolt EUV models can seat up to five. The SUV offers up to 16.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 56.9 cubic feet of cargo space in total with the rear seats folded. Surprisingly, these figures trail the Bolt EV.
Safety Features
Chevrolet offers a competitive list of standard safety features on the Bolt EUV, though it’s missing some high-end features that you’ll find on rivals. Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam assist, and pedestrian detection.
Available safety features include a surround-view parking camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and rear parking sensors. Most of these are available on the Driver Confidence Package for $495 on the LT trim.
The EUV was one of the first Chevrolets to be available with GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system. Super Cruise is only available on the Premier trim and it’s an extra $2,200.
Connectivity
While the Bolt EUV doesn’t have the largest touchscreen or the most cutting-edge tech features in its class, it comes with intuitive tech features that are easy to use. A 10.2-inch touchscreen is standard, as is an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, six audio speakers, an HD Radio, Bluetooth for two devices simultaneously, and a wireless charging pad are also included. Available features include a Wi-Fi hotspot, a Bose audio system, and navigation.
2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV LT – MSRP From $29,190
The LT trim comes well-equipped with cloth upholstery, keyless entry, remote start, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, six-way manually adjustable front seats, and automatic climate control. LED exterior lighting, heated exterior mirrors, 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights, and roof-mounted side rails.
There are a few optional packages for the LT trim. The Comfort Package brings an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel that’s wrapped in leather. The package costs $895.
The available Convenience Package includes leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 17-inch dark wheels. The Convenience Package costs $1,695 but requires the Comfort Package to be equipped, too.
The Redline Edition Package costs $495.
2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV Premier – MSRP From $33,690
The range-topping Premier adds leather upholstery, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, chrome exterior trim pieces, and special 17-inch wheels.
The available Sun and Sound Package is priced at $2,495. It adds a Bose audio system, navigation, and a panoramic sunroof.
The Redline Edition package also costs $495.
Compare Bolt EUV Trims Side-By-Side
Since the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV is far more affordable than last year, we recommend going with the high-end Premier trim. While it comes with more upscale features, the thing that really helps the model stand out in the EV segment is the availability of Super Cruise. While $2,200 isn’t cheap, being able to get one of the few hands-free driver-assist systems on the market is something special.
