Update: Hyundai is now advertising the Santa Fe at $199 for 36 months with $2,919 at signing. That's actually cheaper than the offer listed below, with an effective cost of just $280/month before taxes & fees based on an allowance of 10,000 miles a year.

The 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe SE is the best SUV you can lease for Memorial Day 2020. At $209 for 36 months with $2,899 due at signing in places like Los Angeles, it has an effective cost of just $290/month. In addition to being the cheapest lease on a midsize SUV, it's more affordable than models costing thousands less.

At that price, it's $46/month cheaper than the least-expensive Kia Sorento and $62 less than a Honda Pilot LX. But that's not all. Hyundai's smaller Tucson crossover is listed at $209 for 36 months with $2,699 at signing, or $284/month. That's $6 less than the Santa Fe despite an over $2,500 difference in MSRP.

While it may be tempting to shop based on size or sticker price, the Santa Fe can be a remarkable upgrade for those looking for the best value. For example, the 2020 Hyundai Kona SEL is over $4,000 less expensive on paper but only $9 cheaper to lease at $209 for 36 months with $2,599 at signing ($281/month).

That's a big step up in size for about the cost of a combo meal at your local fast-food restaurant.

While we're happy to recommend the 2020 Honda CR-V since it features a Sign & Drive sale for Memorial Day, the fact is that it's a whole lot more expensive than the Santa Fe. The CR-V LX is listed at $320/month, $30 more than the Santa Fe. The Toyota RAV4 LE comes in even higher with an effective monthly cost of $355.

There's no shortage of 0% APR deals promising interest-free financing for up to 7 years. But what if you aren't looking to drive the same vehicle for that long? In cases like that, opting for a value-oriented lease may be a great alternative that could give some shoppers the flexibility they need during this challenging time.

We analyze the latest deals to uncover ways you can get more for your money. In addition to the cheapest leases, we also find the best deals based on value, and can show you cars you can lease under $199, SUVs under $300, as well as a sortable list of over 300 leases you can search based on what's important to you.

Offers end June 1.
