Dodge has slashed lease prices for the Hornet plug-in hybrid. According to the latest incentives, the 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T PHEV can be leased for as little as $199 per month in some parts of the country. This marks the best Dodge Hornet lease deal we've seen to date, making it cheaper to lease than a Prius.

The 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T eAWD is now listed at $199 for 24 months with $3,975 due at signing. That's for pricing in California, though we're seeing signs that other regions have solid deals too. The price includes $6,500 in lease cash which reflects a loophole that lets Stellantis claim a commercial tax credit.

At this price, the Hornet is one of the few leases under $200 a month. It's also among the best SUV leases under $300. However, we found some important catches. First, the price is for an ultra-low-mileage lease with just 5,000 miles a year of driving. If you think you'll need more, expect to pay a higher price.

But that's not all. Hornet prices include a loyalty discount that you can only get if you're a returning FCA lessee. According to a bulletin sent to dealers, Stellantis is offering $2,000 in SFS Lease Loyalty Bonus Cash. If you don't qualify, expect to make up the difference with a higher payment or amount due at signing.

We also think Stellantis is making the lease look cheaper than it would be with a conventional lease. 24-month contracts benefit from higher residual values. and the mileage allowance is boosting that even further. As a result, the Dodge Hornet may not be as good of a deal with a 36-month, 15,000-mile-per-year lease.

Despite all of that, a Hornet lease could be surprisingly appealing if you're in the market for a greener car with the flexibility of a plug-in hybrid. With an effective cost of $365 before taxes & fees, the Dodge Hornet lease is over $100 per month cheaper to lease than a 2024 Toyota Prius XLE in Southern California ($482).

The Dodge Hornet plug-in has an EPA rating of 77 MPGe and is capable of up to 33 miles of driving solely on electric power. With the built-in gas engine, the Hornet can travel 360 miles. Since the Hornet doesn't qualify for a tax credit on purchases, we think shoppers may find a lease to be a considerably better value.
