2024 Genesis GV70 EV Lease $4 More Than GV60

According to the latest dealer bulletins, the all-new 2024 Genesis GV 70 EV is leasing for just $4 more than the GV60, making it an outstanding deal when it comes to luxury EVs. The GV70 Electrified is a larger SUV with a much higher starting price than the Genesis GV60, meaning that the current lease deal is unexpected.

What really sets these two SUVs apart when it comes to leasing is the fact that there's only a $50 difference in monthly lease price between the GV60 and the GV70, however, the GV60 EV in standard trim with RWD has a much higher amount due at signing than the Genesis GV70 EV in Advanced trim.

Right now you can lease a GV60 for $339 a month for 36 months with $5,999 due at signing. This gives you a monthly effective cost of $506 a month, a pretty good deal compared to its $53,350 MSRP. The GV70 EV, on the other hand, is leasing for just $399 a month for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing. Compared to its $67,800 MSRP, this is a way better deal with an effective monthly cost of $510.

When it comes to which is the better EV, both luxury models from Genesis have a decent rating and similar setups are available under the hood. The 2024 GV60 comes standard with a single electric motor and RWD, while the GV70 Electrified version starts with two electric motors and AWD. Both vehicles contain a 77.4 kWh battery pack.

Since the 2024 GV70 is larger, it may be a better choice for families. Both SUVs hold 5 passengers, but the GV70 is more spacious and rated to tow more than the GV60, 3,500 lbs compared to just 2,000. It has 28.9 cubic feet of storage space behind the rear seats, which opens to 56.9 cubic feet when they're folded. The GV60 maxes out at 54.7 cubes of storage with the seats folded.

When all is said and done, it is these two factors, the fact that the monthly lease payment is only $50 lower and that it's due at signing cost is so much higher, that the GV60 is only $4 less to lease than the GV70.

Normally, when vastly different vehicles come in at close costs we would look at the residual value to help determine why one vehicle is more expensive than the other. However, in this case, the residual value of both EVs sits at 50% after 36 months of leasing.

If you're looking for a luxury EV that has enough space for your family but still leans toward the smaller side, the GV70 Electrified SUV from Genesis is the way to go right now, especially if you're looking to lease.

Prices listed here are for California and select EV states, but similar deals may exist where you live. Check with your local Genesis dealer for offers near you.
