The all-electric IONIQ 6 has a deal so good that we had to ask Hyundai if it was a typo. It isn't. According to a bulletin sent to dealers, the 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6 SE can be leased for just $239 per month with no money down. Based on our analysis, the unadvertised deal makes the IONIQ 6 the cheapest car to lease in America.

Think EVs are expensive? Now you may not have an excuse. Yesterday, the 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6 SE got an unbelievable national lease deal priced at $239 for 24 months with $239 due at signing before taxes & fees. Unlike most incentives, this is a zero-down lease that requires just the first month's payment at signing.

The IONIQ 6 is now the cheapest vehicle you can lease in America based on over 540 incentives we analyzed. With an effective cost of $249 a month, the $43,000 EV is over $100 per month more affordable than a 2024 Toyota Corolla LE in Southern California ($382 based on $299 for 36 months with $2,999 at signing).

Hyundai spokesperson Miles Johnson had just this to say to us today: "Not a typo." Last week, the automaker quietly introduced a 24-month IONIQ 5 lease priced at just $213 per month. However, unlike the IONIQ 6, the deal requires $3,480 at signing. It has an effective cost of $358 per month, far more than the IONIQ 6 deal.

The downside is that Hyundai isn't advertising the $239 lease and has chosen to instead focus on a $349-per-month, zero-down lease on the SEL trim. If you're a shopper who's been put off by high car prices recently, Hyundai's latest incentives appear to be some of the best lease deals we've ever seen on electric vehicles.

Prefer all-wheel drive? The IONIQ 6 SE AWD is listed at $319 with $319 at signing. That's $130 — per month — cheaper than the deal on the SEL AWD that you're bound to see advertised instead. The IONIQ 6 leases benefit from $10,000 in lease cash, plus higher residual values than you'd see with a 36-month lease.

Back in January, the VinFast VF 8 was the cheapest vehicle to lease with an effective cost of $275 after a whopping discount of nearly $23,000 off MSRP. The IONIQ 6 deal is better. Unlike many of the cheapest leases, Hyundai's deal also doesn't include a loyalty discount or incentive that not everyone may qualify for.

Current Hyundai offers end on April 1st. The IONIQ 6 lease has an allowance of 12,000 miles per year.
