Acura is offering a unique rebate throughout its model lineup. The luxury brand is no stranger to offering loyalty bonuses, but they're now offering select customers $1,000 to end their leases early. The eligibility requirements are on the specific side, but it can be a nice way to save for eligible lessees. Here's what you need to know about Acura's lease termination rebate.

A recent dealer bulletin from Acura revealed one of the more interesting incentives we've seen in a while. The Acura Client Early Lease Termination Support program, as it's called, essentially pays current Acura lessees to upgrade to a new model.

The program is only extended to lessees of 2020 or 2021 TLX and MDX whose lease agreements are due to end between March and May of this year. Those criteria are pretty specific, but if you're eligible, you can get $1,000 toward the lease or purchase of a new Integra, TLX, RDX, or MDX. Both 2023 and 2024 models are eligible for the credit, but high-performance Type S and limited edition PMC models are not included.

If you meet those requirements, you won't receive the $1,000 as a cash rebate, but rather as capitalized cost reduction or down payment assistance. The Early Lease Termination Support program is compatible with promotional financing, promotional lease deals (zero due at signing leases are excluded), and loyalty programs. If you're eligible for the Lease Termination Support Program.

This is a pretty unusual incentive from Acura, but it could be a useful way of saving for the select group that's eligible. Interestingly, the dealer documentation doesn't say anything about the $1,000 going toward the early termination of a current lease. We think that's the reason for the specific eligibility requirements for the current lease ending. You do have to trade in your current TLX or MDX to take advantage of the $1,000, but this is an interesting way of getting into a newer model.
