Year-end car deals offer shoppers a rare opportunity to score holiday sales involving Employee Pricing, 0% financing, as well as leases with $0 down or that feature a complimentary lease payment. We've even found cases in which you can get a much nicer vehicle for less money than you think.

Even though dealers are recovering from inventory shortages due to the pandemic, manufacturers have been responding with better-than-expected deals on their newest cars. Apart from incentives like deferred payments, some are even offering unprecedented benefits like job loss protection.

Here's what you need to know.

Best Car Lease: 2021 Chevy Camaro

Bringing home a V8-powered Camaro could be a lot more affordable than you think. Through January 4, Chevy is offering an extremely cheap lease on the 2021 Camaro LT1. At $287 for 39 months with $287 at signing, it's cheaper to lease than the more affordable turbo model despite having an MSRP that's $8,600 higher.

You can thank a higher residual and rock-bottom rate for making the 455-horsepower coupe a better deal than the 275-horsepower turbocharged 1LT. Just be aware that Chevy's prices currently include a $1,500 incentive that you can only get when coming from another lease, be it another GM car or that of another brand.

Best SUV Discount: 2020 Buick Enclave

Like all Buicks, the 2020 Enclave offers GM Employee Pricing through January 4. However, what you won't see advertised is the fact that the luxurious SUV is also eligible for 0.9% APR for 72 months with $2,050 in down payment assistance as part of a hidden deal. Believe it or not, these incentives can actually be combined.

If you're looking for an upfront discount with no haggling required, odds are that Employee Pricing could be very appealing. The fact that you can finance at a practically interest-free rate just sweetens the deal. Opting for a 2021 Enclave gets you a nearly identical deal but with just $550 in down payment assistance.

Honorable mentions include the 2020 Chevy Equinox Premier (up to $6,875 off with Employee Pricing), the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ($9,500 cash incentive), and 2020 Acura MDX (up to $7,000 off when switching brands).

Cheapest Car Lease: 2020 Chevy Bolt EV

Even though the Bolt is no longer eligible for a federal tax credit, Chevy has responded with massive discounts of its own. Through January 4, a special promotion through the Costco Auto Program can get you an extra $3,000 in savings, lowering the cost of a 2020 Bolt LT to just $215 for 36 months with $215 at signing.

In San Francisco, Chevy is offering an extra $1,400 off, reducing the cost even further to $176 with $176 at signing when coming from another lease. With an effective cost of just $181/month, this is the best deal on an EV and the cheapest lease in America. And that's before the Clean Vehicle Rebate and Clean Fuel Reward.

Best $0 Down Lease: 2021 Genesis G70

Even the cheapest luxury car leases can require a substantial down payment. In addition to requiring $0 due at signing, this month's deal on the 2021 Genesis G70 is a Sign & Drive lease that waives your first month's payment. It doesn't get much better than this, resulting in an effective cost of $389 for 36 months on the G70 2.0T.

Best Truck Deal: 2021 GMC Sierra 1500

The 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 offers double-digit savings thanks to Employee Pricing. The brand's annual holiday sale promises as much as $10,138 off the MSRP of a loaded Denali model. That said, the discount is based on a vehicle's configuration and cheaper styles may not have as much savings.

Honorable mentions include the 2021 Nissan Titan with 0% APR for 84 months and the 2020 Ford F-150 with 0% APR plus $2,000 in trade-in assistance plus no payments for 90 days. If you prefer a Chevy Silverado, GM is advertising a $259/month deal that ranks among the best truck leases.

Best 0% APR Deal: 2020 Nissan Kicks

If you're looking for a killer deal on a cheap SUV, you'll be hard-pressed to top the 2020 Kicks. Through January 4, the brand is offering 0% APR for 72 months plus $500 in APR Cash. On a $20,000 vehicle, that would result in a payment of roughly $271/month before taxes & fees.

That said, a ton of automakers are offering exceptional financing offers. For example, Lexus is offering interest-free loans across its entire lineup, including the new IS. For an unbelievable bargain, the 2020 Ford Fusion offers 0% APR for up to 84 months in California.

Best Hybrid Car Deal: 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Hybrids used to always cost more than traditional cars. However, that's not the case if you're leasing a 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. Better incentives can actually result in almost the same cost to lease as a Corolla. In San Francisco, the cars have the exact same lease: $179 for 36 months with $1,999 due at signing.

Best Used Car Deal: Subaru Certified Pre-Owned

While used cars can be a great value, they often have higher rates than their new-car counterparts. However, that's not necessarily the case if you're planning to buy a CPO car from Subaru. Through January 4, most factory-certified models feature 0.99% APR for 48 months.

In the case of the popular Subaru Crosstrek, that's essentially the same deal the brand is offering when opting for a brand-new 2021 model. Just remember that you'll have to select a factory-certified vehicle and have above-average credit to be eligible for the best rates.

If you're looking for greater assurance, Ford is offering job loss protection as part of a program called Ford Promise through January 4. The offer involves up to $15,000 in buyback protection in the event you lose your job and can be combined with rates as low as 1.49%.
