Ford Credit has launched a financing/lease program for the Maverick, called the Ford Maverick Financing Guaranteed Approval Program. The program, which started in September, runs through March 2022. Often, we see programs from captive lenders requiring high credit scores, but Ford Credit is only requiring a minimum credit score of 620 to qualify.

This latest program has a few stipulations, such as:

There's no information on APR deals in this program. However, we know that Ford is currently offering special APR financing on the Maverick for 0% for 36 months; 0.9% for 48 months; or 3.9% for 72 months. No other deals or cash incentives are being advertised at this time.

The MSRP for the Ford Maverick starts at around $20,000 for the base model, reaching up to $25,500 for the Lariat trim, the most luxurious model. For a new truck, these starting MSRPs aren’t bad at all.

All trims come standard with a hybridized 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine, creating 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder option, which can bring the towing capability to 4,000 pounds.

Other features that come standard with the Maverick include automatic emergency braking, automatic headlights, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

However, something that isn’t advertised very well is the $1,495 destination charge on the Maverick models, so you may want to keep that in mind when comparing other trucks in its segment.

Historically, bad credit borrowers are out of luck in normal conditions when it comes to financing with captive lenders. If your credit score is less than perfect and you’re desiring a truck, this may be a program worth looking into. Additionally, Ford Credit has recently dropped minimum credit score requirements for borrowers that take on 84-month loans. If your credit score isn’t top-tier, then looking into financing with Ford Credit could be the ticket.
