Ford Paying Seattle Subaru Owners $2k To Buy Broncos

With standard all-wheel drive, rugged styling, and off-road-ready features, Subarus are known for being able to go off the beaten path and help owners get some more time outdoors. Ford has recently shifted its focus to more rugged off-road vehicles by reviving nameplates like the Bronco and introducing the baby Bronco Sport, and it wants current Subaru owners to take notice. To attract Subaru drivers to consider purchasing a Ford Bronco or Bronco Sport, Ford has introduced a new bonus cash program.

According to a bulletin that Ford sent to local dealerships in Seattle, the American automaker has introduced a new Subaru Competitive Bonus Cash program that gives current Subaru owners and lessees an extra $1,000 off the price of a 2023 or 2024 Ford Bronco or Bronco Sport. Based on our analysis of the bonus cash program, most Bronco and Bronco Sport trims are eligible for the new deal except for the range-topping Raptor.

Current Subaru owners who are interested in taking advantage of the new bonus cash program should look into getting a 2023 Ford Bronco if possible. The 2023 Bronco is still available in limited numbers and is available with an additional $1,000 off for all buyers. Subaru owners who take advantage of the new Subaru Competitive Bonus Cash program and manage to find a 2023 Bronco are looking at getting up to $2,000 off.

To qualify for the new Subaru Competitive Bonus Cash program, shoppers must own or lease a 1995 or newer Subaru vehicle. Owners don’t have to trade their vehicles in and the deal can be transferred to other drivers within the same household. This is an unusual deal because it’s the first time we’ve seen Ford specifically target Subaru with a bonus cash program for the Bronco.

Subarus are incredibly popular in the Pacific Northwest. According to iSeeCars, Oregon, Alaska, and Washington were in the top 10 most popular states for Subaru from October 2015 to September 2016. In Oregon, which was the sixth most popular state for Subarus, Subaru represented 4.1% of the total market. Ford may be trying to gain a higher market share in the area by targeting current Subaru owners with its new bonus cash program for the Bronco.
