Shoppers will find some extremely good Labor Day SUV deals for buying & leasing. For example, Toyota is offering a holiday bonus on the 2019 Highlander worth up to $3,000 off MSRP in some parts of the country. That's easily the best deal we've seen to date.

The full-size Ford Expedition is eligible for 0% financing for 60 months plus $7,030 in bonus cash. 0% APR and large rebates usually can't be combined. Here, they are. Just be aware that Ford is heavily stacking incentives in favor of the higher-volume XLT style.

Think you'll save a lot of money by choosing a subcompact SUV? Think again, especially when leasing.

For example, the Chevy Trax LT is listed at $189 for 36 months with $4,089 at signing. At the same time, the Equinox LT can be leased from $189 for 39 months with $4,479 at signing. Here, the Equinox ends up being just $1 more expensive when comparing effective lease costs ($304 vs. $303).

Ford is advertising 20% off select models. However, a closer look finds the brand is factoring estimated dealer discounts and incentives you can only get on the oldest vehicles in stock. Despite these drawbacks, shoppers will find up to $5,000 in potential savings on already-cheap models like the EcoSport.

Those looking for a dose of luxury will find extreme deals on the Cadillac Escalade. Apart from an $8,000 rebate, the brand is offering a $3,000 bonus when coming from a competitor. Dealers also have $3,000 in unadvertised Flex Cash incentives they're able to pass along for a total of $14,000 in potential savings.

Here on the West Coast, Lexus recently announced a $3,000 bonus on the NX Black Line Edition. You can combine the offer with $2,000 in Lexus Cash for up to $5,000 in savings. We've never seen a discount that large on an NX.
