Leasing generally requires that you keep a car for the full course of the lease. This month, Infiniti is making it easier to get into your next car or SUV with a special incentive for select lessees.

Called a payment waiver program, the offer involves a deal to waive your two remaining payments on your current lease when financing or leasing your next vehicle.

So what does the deal involve? Who's eligible? And are there any additional benefits for taking advantage of the offer?

Here's what you need to know.

Offers listed here assume a California location unless noted otherwise.

Offer Details

Infiniti is offering a payment waiver for select lessees of vehicles with contracts set to mature between June 1 and June 30.

The company will waive up to 2 of your final lease payments when you finance or lease your next vehicle through Infiniti Financial Services. The automaker will also waive its customary $395 disposition fee.

This is a targeted offer that dealers will be contacting customers about via phone or mail. If you're accustomed to tossing out promotions, you may want to take a closer look if you see something from your local dealer.

The offer is set to expire June 30.

Our Take

If you're a current lessee and have had thoughts of upgrading to your next Infiniti sooner than planned, this is a great opportunity to do so. However, you'll need to be eligible, so be sure to check your contract maturity date carefully.

If you also hate paying for things like the acquisition fee, this is also a good way to get out of that. That said, lease deals on Infinitis have gotten quite a bit more expensive over the last several months.

Last December, the 2017 Infiniti Q50 2.0t Premium was listed at $299 for 39 months with $2,499 due at signing. However, this month's featured offer is $329 for 39 months with $2,499 at signing.

That may sound straightforward, but this month's deal is actually for the 2.0t Base version. That equates to $30/month more for a car that's $4,450 cheaper on paper. More for less? That's not an ideal combination.

Offers can change month to month, so we suggest checking local deals carefully. We're hoping to see some attractive offers next month ahead of Memorial Day.
