Valentine's Day may not be the best time of year to buy a car, but there are impressive discounts to be had for those willing to get creative. Most shoppers may not know that manufacturers often use "conquest" incentives to get shoppers to switch brands, not to mention generous loyalty discounts worth up to $4,000.

Here's a look at some of the best deals you can get right now.

Chevy is offering a $2,500 loyalty discount on the 2019 Colorado, boosting this month's paltry $500 rebate to a solid $3,000. To get the deal, simply show proof that someone in your household owns or leases a 1999-or-newer GM vehicle. No trade-in is required in order to qualify.

Mazda has a $750 loyalty discount across its lineup, but you can increase that to $1,250 when trading-in a 2014-or-newer Mazda. Here in Los Angeles, you can now stack up to $4,250 in savings on the 2018 Mazda3 Hatchback. It's a great time to buy, especially if your boo is a fan of manual transmissions.

BMW factors-in a $1,000 conquest discount now in many of its leases. In California, you can now lease a 2018 BMW X2 from $289 for 36 months with $4,214 due at signing. With an effective cost of $406/month, that makes it $2 cheaper to lease than a 2019 Acura TLX ($408).

Cadillac owners can enjoy up to a $4,000 loyalty discount in the case of the 2019 Escalade. To get the deal, you or someone in your household will have to currently own or lease a 2003 or newer Cadillac. However, it's important to note that this deal focuses on those buying rather than leasing.

On a 2019 Cadillac XT5, you can now save up to $6,500 under ideal circumstances. In addition to a $3,000 loyalty discount, you can get a $1,500 bonus when financing through GM Financial. Dealers are also being given up to $2,000 in Flex Cash to help lower prices.
