Mercedes is heavily discounting the all-electric EQS with some of its most aggressive incentives to date. According to bulletins sent to dealers, 2023 Mercedes EQS EVs can feature as much as $20,000 in savings this month. If you can still find one in stock, this could potentially help make it one of the brand's best deals.

Through April 1st, 2023 Mercedes EQS models feature a $10,000 Mercedes Incentive Bonus. We consider this to be a form of dealer cash that you won't see advertised by the company either on TV or online. Both the sedan and SUV versions of the luxurious EQS are eligible for this deal when buying or leasing.

But that's not all. New this month, Mercedes is offering MY23 EQ 'Full-Court Press' Cash worth as much as $10,000 off the price of the AMG EQS Sedan. Similarly, the EQS 580 has a $7,500 discount while the EQS 450 gets $5,000. In the case of the EQS AMG, this stackable incentive could mean a $20,000 discount.

Having said that, our analysis found that 2023 EQS inventory is virtually sold out. If you don't see one in your area, you may want to wait. That's because the 2024 EQS is only eligible for a $1,000 Incentive Bonus and no additional discount from Mercedes. This could make the latest version a lousy deal for shoppers.

Mercedes EV discounts have crept up over the past year. In early 2023, the brand introduced a $2,500 Welcome To Electric discount. Around the same time, it began paying Tesla owners up to $4,000 to switch brands. Last fall, our records indicate that EQS incentives reached as high as $11,000 in some cases.

But is the Mercedes EQS overpriced even with a $20,000 discount? After all, Lucid Air prices now start at $69,900 after a recent price cut, and Lucid Air lease prices are over $200 per month cheaper than they were before. For electric car buyers seeking maximum luxury, there may be better deals to be had than the EQS.
