Consumers can now find some of the best discounts of the year on RAM's lineup of HD trucks. Late last week, FCA expanded a year-end Employee Pricing deal to RAM 2500 and 3500 pickups. In some cases, buyers may be able to save over $10,000 during a time period marked by high prices due to a truck shortage.

According to a bulletin sent to dealers on December 10, most versions of the 2020 RAM 2500 and 3500 are now eligible for Chrysler Employee Pricing. Unlike a rebate, the discount is worth 5% below the dealer's invoice price plus a $200 fee. One of the benefits is that no haggling is required in order to get the deal.

In the case of a well-equipped RAM 3500 Limited, the brand says that's worth up to $10,003 off MSRP. However, the fine print states leases are excluded, so the deal will only benefit those looking to buy. Most styles are eligible with the exception of the burly RAM Power Wagon. That said, we consider this a bargain considering Ford's best rebate on the F-Series Super Duty is worth just $500.

Based on our analysis, this could make RAM's biggest trucks a more compelling alternative to choices from GM. Ever since earlier this month, Chevy and GMC have been offering GM Employee Pricing on both the Silverado HD and Sierra HD. Chevy says that's worth $8,759 off the MSRP of an LTZ 4x4 Diesel Crew Cab.

Employee Pricing is a seasonal offer that offers one of the best year-end deals. However, because the discount is based on a vehicle's invoice, the dollar amount will vary from truck to truck. We recommend being mindful of that in order to make the most accurate comparisons.

Current offers end on January 4, 2021.
